I have read that many people think it is a good idea to wear your swimsuits under your clothes when you board the ship to go to the mickey pool while it is not crowded. What about in November, is the weather okay to do this or is it too chilly?
the average high for Cape Canaveral in November is 78, the average low is 59. So, it depends on what you are comfortable with! Growing up in the North, swimming in the seventies is, well, summer! But my own kids are "southerners", I wonder if they'll complain it's too cold! (rest assured, though, they'll be wearing their swim trunks when they embark! they can't wait to try the Mickey Pool slide!)
We sailed on 11/15/03 and the kids were both in the water soon after we had lunch. Definantly take your suits with you in your carry on so that is an option.
The kids pool and the adult pool is open upon boarding...I don't think the goofy family pool (the one in the middle)is open at that time because if i remebered correctly, it was covered because of the Bon Voyage party....
It really up to you as adults whether to wear the bathing suit or not....
You may want to enjoy some sun yourself, or they may want to go to the Goofy pool. On the first day, the crowd isn't too bad. I sat on the ledge around the pool area which usually has a couple inches of water in it all the time so that I could be close to DD 3.
