Swim shoes on Aquaduck?

So if you are wearing flip flops, etc. that they make you take off, are you allowed to sit on them, put in a pocket or something?

They have cubbies at the bottom of the stairs and they won't let you up the stairs into the line wearing them. As others have posted, this may be dependant upon the CM at the time. But that's the general rule, nothing that could potentially fall off during the ride is allowed into the line.

It occurred to me that they might be adverse to water shoes or sandals that had hard plastic or metal buckles that could scratch the tube as well?? Many water parks won't even let you on slides without a t-shirt covering if you have too much "hardware" on your swimsuit.
