I am not sure if the pool is heated, but you will freeze in the ocean.

I think it would be iffy at best...I find it hard to swim in FL in winter...heck, I was even cold in FL in late March!! Depends what you find tolerable... I found Kidani's pool was BARELY heated... You can probably sit out on the pool deck & on the beach if you have long sleeves available if it's breezy. The hot tub might be an option.

The HH resort pool is heated and many do swim in the winter months. The hot tub is also heated -

The ocean temps in January will fall into the 50's and most will find that a tad too brisk to enjoy.

Not in the ocean...pools are heated but the weather in dec/jan fluctates alot. One year we had hats, gloves and winter jackets with 30-40 degrees and another year it was high 60's and DS did swim in main pool. We usually do not plan on swimming or sunbathing during this time(we have gone many xmas weeks), but have always enjoyed a walk on the beach and occasionally a nice relaxing book on a lounge chair by the pool. As stated previously the outdoor hot tub is super heated and I have seen folks in there even with outdoor temps a bit chilly.

the pool is heated, hot tub too and people do swim. we were there and although it was cold out people were in the pool day and night. another nice thing is they have fireplaces and it is so nice to sit around the fireplace! i hope you enjoy HHI, the cms were sooooo nice and we had such a great time (just returned and can't wait to go back).

Thank you everyone! I know it is super nice, we went just one night in sept2008 returning from WDW back to Canada and I'm dreaming to go back... the prices in winter are more affordable and I'm trying to find more good reasons to convince my husband it's cool to go in winter...at least, to avoid a little snow shoveling...

We went a few years ago for Spring Break. The ocean was too cold for me.
