I'm going to arrive around 9:30am. Knowing that the rooms are most likely not ready yet, can we still use the swimming pool in BWV? Will we be handed a resort room card first? See, I still have my DVC membership card, but DH lost his, and I don't want him not able to stay in the pool with me.

Also, I assume they have a shower room and towel at the pool, right?

Thanks.

Not sure about BWV, but at OKW one trip, our young guest arrived early in the morning, and we didn't arrive until later. They told him the room number, and told him he could hang out by the pool and even change there. We found him already in the room when we arrived!

My family usually arrives at BWV around 10:00-11:00 in the morning, usually long before the room is ready....

We have never had any problems with swimming in the pools while we wait... We have done so with the encouragement of the CM's at Check-in.

You need the resort ID not the DVC membership card to use the pool or pool hop. So checkin at the front desk when you get there, get your resort ID's, then go swimming. Have a great trip!

We pack a small bag with our bathing suits, sunblock, etc. When we arrive, we get our resort ID's and take just the small bag to the pool area, change and relax until our room is ready. This is especially helpful at Vero and Hilton Head. Why wait until 4 PM and lose a day at the beach/pool? The underground parking at the Hilton Head Beach House or under the buildings at Vero keep the luggage from getting too hot. We go out after dinner for groceries.
