Sweetums

I'm a huge Henson fan, much more so than Disney (of course I'm a fan of Dis too! ), and MuppetVision is a must for me on any trip. I was wondering if there were any photo ops ever with Sweetums, or if he's ever outside of the theater, not part of the show.

Or for that matter, do any other Muppets ever show up at DCA? I know at WDW they have Kermit in the Motor Cars parade, and sometimes he's available for pictures, but I can't fathom taking a picture with a human-sized Kermit... Although given the opportunity, I probably would.

I have read on another board that Sweetums will never be allowed out of the theater or even available inside for photo ops. Something to do with the limited rights Disney has to the use of the Muppets.

So enjoy the brief view of him at Muppet's 3-D. And enjoy it soon, because it will be heading to Yesterland as soon as DCA starts its major demo.

Is the Muppet's 3-D going away forever, or just for the duration of the remodel? This is the only 3-D experience at DLR that I actually enjoy.

I have read on MiceAge (Al Lutz) that it's going away forever. Sad, I know.

Yeah, I knew about it going... At least we'll still have it at WDW.

They are changing it forever I really liked it too, so i will be sad!

I thought that they were keeping it there as they arnt 100% sure if they can get Mickey's Philarmagic in there

Do you know when? We've never seen it and we were planning to see it on our next trip. That won't be for a while, though.

No, no one knows exactly when. Like Mystic mentioned, they are having difficulty figuring out to put Philharmagic in there. I think they are reworking their plans for the area, but I would still guess that the Muppet theater will be gone before DCA is complete in 2011.

wow i will miss 3d, but i do like what ive seen of Philharmagic hope it can fit and wish they could have both lol

Thanks......Looks like we may be able to see it. We have always put it off, but we'll make sure to catch it next time. We love Philharmagic, so it will be great to have that here in CA. My DS was very happy to hear that.
