Does anyone know what kind of artificial sweeteners are available at the food courts? This is very important because hubby is in renal failure...then I can check with our nutritionist. Thank you

I've found most Disney restaurants and resorts have the "generic" sweeteners where the Starbucks inside the parks and Springs have the name brands (splenda, sweet n low, ect.).

I think you should discuss this first with his nutritionist to see if any artificial sweeteners can be used. If so, I would bring what he needs instead of assuming that every place that you go will have it. If he can wean himself off of the sweeteners altogether, that might be better.

All sweetners in Canada are fine...Cyclamate is marketed as the table top sweeteners Sucaryl®, Sugar Twin® and Sweet ‘N Low®. It is not permitted as a food additive in Canada. Equal, Nutrasweet and splenda are fine

Again, I would go to the grocery store and just buy a box of packets to bring with you. You can take a few to the food courts, parks, etc. Why show up at a food court or other dining venue only to find they don't have what you need?

we will probably take some with us. Thanks

This is what my mom and I. We prefer the Truvia/Stevia in the Raw, which we usually can't find on property.Especially if you take it out of the box it doesn't take up much space and you'll have the peace of mind of having something safe for your hubby. Have a wonderful trip!

I prefer equal to all other artificial sweeteners and I have definitely used it at multiple QS locations. However, I agree bringing some is definitely the safest option!

Not really sure why I have this random photo from Captain Cook's, but I definitely see yellow, pink, and blue:

I would definitely bring your own, it's not worth risking your husband's health.

He says he might just use sugar for his daily 1 cup of coffee. Last time we were there his sugars dropped so low we had Reedy fire dept in our room for 2 hours. so I don't think high sugars will be a problem. We probably will bring a few just to have with us

They have the 'yellow' packets which are Sucralose or Splenda. They also have 'pink' packets which are generic Sweet n Low but I don't know the generic name.

Sweet and Low in the States is Saccharin, Cyclamates were banned here decades ago
