Because of these boards, I was able to find out so much information. Previously, I posted looking for information on finding a Sweet Tomatoes in the LBV area. The Manager of one, offered a discount to any DIS user that asked for him. I just wanted to say thanks to manager Matt for the discount. It was nice to meet you. The food here is so good I would recommend it to anyone.

Me: (talking to cashier) Can I see manager Matt?

Cashier: ok.

Manager Matt arrives

Me: Are you Manager Matt?

Matt: Yes.

Me: The chicken has left the nest. Or whatever the secret phrase is.

Matt: Ok, you get 10% off.



So, what exactly do you say? Do you say, I go on the Disboards or what?

I have never eaten at one, but Sweet Tomatoes restaurants are a fairly small chain with high quality salads and good food. People who eat at the Orlando location rave about the food and sensible prices. If I can ever tear myself away from WDW, I definitely want to eat there.

Sweet Tomatoes is the BEST buffet restaurant I've ever been to. It's all fresh food. You start with a giant salad bar with tons of selections (not just lettuce-y stuff!) and then they also have a hot soup station, pasta and breads, desserts, etc. Everything is made fresh and it's just soooo yummy. Plus it's less than $10 to eat for dinner!

The secret phrase is: "Can I see your sweet tomatoes?"

SoCal? It's a Souplantation. They are the same thing - and boy was I happy to find it when we moved here!

Yes, after reading the various posts about sweet tomatoes on these boards, we have added that to our list of restaurants we want to ck out!

Is the one at Beltz the closest to WDW or are there others?

I've haven't been but we're planning on going this May.

It looks like there are two Orlando locations. One on So. Kirkman Rd and one at E. Colonial Dr.

We are interested in trying this restaurant as well. Does anyone know which of their two locations is closest to Disney? We're actually staying off-site on 192 so if there is one near there that's even better. Thanks very much.

We went to the one on Kirkman last time, when we stayed off 192 as well. However, it took a while, and that's because we missed an exit, and ended up on I-4 going who knows where. I'm not sure if the other one is closer or not, but I don't think this one is too far past Universal.

Matt the manager works for the ST on Kirkman Rd. He just said to ask for him if you went to his store and if he was working he would give you a discount. So after we filled our salad dishes and went to the register we asked if Matt was working. She called him and he came out to say hi. We told him about using the DIS boards and he gave us a discount. The food here is very good and you don't feel as guilty piggin out on soups, salads, fruits and such.

Kirkman Road one.. Is this the same one near the Belz outlet or not?

Yes, the Kirkman Road one is the same one that is near the Belz Outlets. It's on Kirkman and International Drive.

See, I thought that location had an I Drive address. But I guess the "entrance door" side is Kirkman.

I alway swing in on I drive side and go around. (because we always miss the first one)

We always go in on the I Drive side, too. In fact, I don't actually know if you can get to it from Kirkman, and I'm thinking probably not. It's a little tricky to get to it from I Drive, as you know, becuase you have to go down to the light and then turn onto a road that takes you to the little shopping center area.
