Do the disney resteraunts have sweet tea? I love this stuff and can not find it in New York. It is a southern thing so I think it should be there but just want to be sure.

I'm thinking no. I remember this being a big issue when I travel with DH. They have tea, but it is unsweet. There are a couple of places that serve sweet tea, but I can't remember which ones. I know I've seen a list posted here before.

Not trying to start a big controversy, but even though Florida is in the south, I don't know that it is really "southern". I've been transplanted in SC and I know the locals don't consider Florida to be a part of the south.

Hope you can find some good sweet tea while your there, if not, if you're driving, hit any restaurant in SC and you'll get your fix.

I can't remember getting it an any of the resturants we asked at. I love sweet tea and we can't get it here either. We usually have a car with us and since we are DVC always have a fridge so we drive over to Publix and pick up a gallon or two.

We have gotten it at all the restaurants, even counter service! It is definitely a southern thing. ;)

Being a Southern girl and a sweet tea lover...I know exactly what you mean! ;)

The only place that I know that you can get it is Liberty Tree Tavern. Last trip, we had gone all week without Sweet Tea. I think when we finally found it at LTT, we drank a whole pitcher. LOL It was great too as I recall! Good Luck.

Donna's right. LTT is the only restaurant that I've been able to find sweet tea. I go into withdrawals while at WDW.

Our LTT ADR isn't til Oct for MNSSHP so that doesn't help her. What brand does Publix carry so I can put it on our wegoshop shopping list so she doesn't withdraw? Geez, you send the kid to VA for school and look at what happens.

Is sweet tea the same as iced tea, only sweet? I'm a northerner through and through, so I've never heard of sweet tea. When I've ordered iced tea at the World, it comes unsweetened, with lemon wedges, just the way I love it!

I don't remember finding it at any of the restaurants we ate at. We didn't eat at LTT though. I love Sweet Tea and the Sheetz near my DH's work carries it and it is sooooo good!! My favorite part of the trip to Fl is stopping at places and getting sweet tea and boiled peanuts!

Yes, with the sugar put it before the ice, so the sugar melts and you don't have to try to make sugar melt in freezing water. Bama born and bred here, and I honestly can't think of anyone in the south who doesn't have a pitcher of sweet tea in their fridge at all times! :flower:

WDW is the only place in Florida where you cannot find sweet tea, except for LTT. If you hit restaurants outside of WDW you'll be able to find it. Publix carries their own brand of sweet tea, over near the deli. It's awesome!

Most restaurants in Florida off Disney property serve sweet tea. I'm glad to hear the LTT has it. Myself, I haven't been fortunate enough to find it at WDW.

You can gete sweet tea at Animal Kingdom. I found out the hard way. Asked for iced tea and was given sweet tea instead. All I can say is I was very upset. There was absolutely nothing at AK for me to drink except water except at the restaurants. The place outside (FF) of Restaurantosaurus has only sweet tea. I don't mind others having sweet tea but give me my unsweetened tea as well.

:rotfl: OK, I thought I was losing my mind somewhat!!! I was thinking "Isn't sweet tea, just iced tea with sugar?" I know at my aunt's church when they have a function they have "sweet" tea. I didn't know that was really the name, I just thought it was similar to "Decaf" coffee, just let you know that iced tea had sugar in it and the other one didn't.

I just always add sugar out of the sugar packets when it iced tea comes to the table (without even tasting it - good thing I read this thread - I would probably have ended up sweetening sweet tea and REALLY been in for a surprise!)

Hey Ya'LL!!! :teeth:

:rotfl: I'm so sorry, but this is so funny to me....As you can see you can't get much more southern Alabama than where I am. Suburb of Mobile...Anyway, Just brew your own :flower: ....Lipton tea bags are fine, but true Sweet Tea drinkers use Luzianne...at least in my family..dahhling (channeling my grandmother) :goodvibes Don't let the water boil with the tea bags in it. Just brew, then let sit for a little while....add suger, then water and let it cool in the fridge.......Heaven.....I work at "Spot of Tea" downtown (No Joke) and we have Strawberry Sweet Tea. Awesome, but bad for the waist!!

Enjoy!!

I had some very good sweet tea at Rainforest Cafe in AK. When I ordered she asked me if I wanted it sweet or unsweet, I was thrilled! I was shocked WDW didn't offer it, other places in Florida I have been to offer it. My Texas grandmother wouldn't have lasted an hour at WDW with no sweet tea!

We just got back last night and the only place we found it was at LTT and it was GOOD!!!

Dh asked the hostess at Olivia's if they had sweet tea and she said yes you add your own sugar..LOL I seriously thought DH was gonna rise out of his chair and knock her out...He was not being very "disney friendly" that night after her comment...LOL
