Hi - I just saw that Sweet Spells in Hollywood Studios is closing April 16th - 4 days before I get there (it will re-open in Toy Story land at a later date). I was planning on getting a snack from there between our early dinner and Fantasmic show. I'm not that familiar with the park. Can someone please let me know the name of another similar quick service where I can use my snack credits for a sweet treat? Thanks!

Oh no! My friend just suggested that place for our trip in early May. Agreed, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Isn't that where the carrot cake cookies are these days??? Ugh! I was looking forward to trying one....the day AFTER the closing.

SOOOOOO glad I got my Carrot Cake Cookie in March. I am so very sad to see it go. ....and why would the Toy Story Land Store be there? Why wouldn't it be down closer to Toy Story Land, itself? Bad form, Disney. Bad form. I hope they have a new Confectionary in mind that we just don't know about yet.

OK, I thought I was going crazy when I tried to picture how the placement of this store made any sense whatsoever with Toy Story Land! I have never liked the layout of DHS, and this doesn't seem to be helping with the cohesion.

I was thinking the same thing!

We were already planning to get some treats from there on our trip that starts this Sunday, but now it's become all the more important we go there one last time. I'm still not over Starring Rolls closing...and now Sweet Spells too!:worried:

I heard the carrot cake cookie was going to be available in Trolley Car Cafe? I would love confirmation in the next few weeks.

Seriously disappointed my bf was having a grumpy moment and we missed out on a carrot cake cookie in March.

When we were there 2 weeks ago, we got our carrot cake cookie from the Trolley Car Cafe/Starbucks on Hollywood Blvd. :)

Thanks for the idea. I was so disappointed to hear it was closing as I was looking forward to it. I'll check out the Trolley Car Cafe instead. Add to this that there is no fast passes for Toy Story Mania and only one track running while I'm there I'm trying to not get a bad attitude about my HS day! LOL! I'm sure once I get there it will be magical anyway!

Thanks for all the responses!

I follow The Disney Food Blog and nearly fainted when I saw her post that Sweet Spells was closing so soon. According to her website, they are turning the store into a Pixar merchandise shop. I can't remember the exact location of Sweet Spells but I'm guessing it's close to the Pixar/Toy Story Land area for them to make this change. I am heartbroken! I have been dreaming of trying the carrot cake cookie and Oreo whoopie pie. Last time I was in there, I was too full to order the carrot cake cookie. (Probably my biggest regret from my trip!) Surely they will continue to sell all of the favorites from Sweet Spells at other places in the park. Her post confirmed that you can still get the carrot cake cookie at The Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks).

We stopped for Mickey gingerbread men in Sweet Spells in February. I'm sad to hear it's closing. Epcot doesn't offer the gingerbread men and now to lose them in the studios! We usually take several home (I bring an air-tight container) and it's getting more difficult to obtain them as only MK Confectionery and DS Goofys Candy Co have them.

I do hope they put the bakery counter in another location.

Oh my goodness the Mickey shorts cookies, gingerbread or sugar cookie, are my favorites!!! I am so sad to see Sweet Spells go, as it was one of few places that sold my favorite Disney treat. I also buy extras, in particular one to eat on the plane ride home.

I really don't understand why they are closing it! Every time we have been there we have waited in a rather long line!

Maybe they are opening something similar in TS land itself and thinking two weren't necessary. I've actually never been the counter side of the store because there is always a long line and I'm not a huge cupcake/cookie type person. I didn't mind when they closed the one next to HBD (sorry can't remember the name) but it broke my heart when they closed the bookstore.

We like to get ice cream from Hollywood Scoops. It’s not mentioned a lot on these boards but we love the ice cream sandwiches and for you it is on Sunset Blvd near Fantasmic.
Thanks for the recommendation! That is convenient since it's close to Fantasmic. On the Disney site it says dining plans aren't accepted but when I check the list of confirmed Disney snacks on google it lists the sundaes. Has anyone been there recently and can confirm whether or not snack credits are accepted? Thanks!

That's what I was thinking.

But why put a TS merchandise location outside of TSL? The location just seems off.
