We are doing the 4 day wonder (second time) and our DD always feels she misses out on Palo , so we want to take her somewhere special for dinner.. We are staying at AKL. I was thinking either Jimko or Blue Zoo or Citirco's? Any sugggestions?

I was also thinking to CP or Cindys for Breakfast? :cool1:

Sounds like she enjoys gourmet/different types of foods. Rare for a teenager! Jiko seems to get good reviews but it might be more fun to acutally go somerwhere other than your hotel to make it seem like a real celebration. Blue Zoo is a good option. Does she have a favorite food? Maybe there is one of the nicer places that has a version of her fave.

We did not care for Crystal Palace but we went for dinner. We have two boys that are now too old for Pooh so we have not tried it for any other meal. I think for Sweet 16 CRT would be more special if you can get it. CRT would not be a bad choice for dinner either since she could get the glass slipper drink and the decor is just fit for a princess!
A nice treat might also be to book a fireworks cruise for after dinner and then try Ohanas or one of the resorts over by MK. How fun for her!!

Just to let you know- Palo will let you take some food to go if you ask. We did the champagne brunch at Palo and they make these really great brick oven pizzas. We asked if we could take some for the kids in our group and they gave us two in carry out boxes. -Stephanie

I would say of the three choices...choose Citricos. How special it would be for a young lady to celebrate her sweet 16th at a place like the Grand Floridian.

I second Citricos it has a wonderful atmosphere and really good food! Order the mushroom ravioli if it's on the menu. It's to die for!

Check out www.allearsnet.com and check out the dining section. She has menus from every restaurant most of which are current. Show your daughter the site and let her choose 2-3 and then check with us here for reviews.....

Personally, I would go to California Grill.

Thanks everyone for your tips!!!! :D
We have already done Californa Grill (we love to eat there)
That is great you can do take out from Palos! I will remember that!
The plan for the birthday Citricos for dinner and the fireworks cruise (hopefully I'll get it) :cool1:

BlueZoo would be a fun option for a 16th birthday. My DD is 14 and loves the restaurant. It is comparable to Emerils, which is another favorite of my DD's. Good luck with whatever you choose.
