So I was thinking. I know it's not good for me to do because it usually ends up in a big mess. But anyway. I was thinking how things more or less kind of take over a certain type of people, age, gender, whatever you can think of. Like every household X amount of years ago had a Furby. And every household X amount of years ago had a Pet Rock. And a while ago, those depressing Series of Unfortunate Events books were everywhere. Now it's Twilight and those books. It just amazes me that some things can be so... popular, that everyone knows their name. Like a person, just a thing.

Maybe I should just stop thinking and go back to reading. But it's kinda, weirding me out. I'm not sure what, though.

Haha.. opinions?

Just pop culture in general you mean?
Yeah, commercialization has a really strong effect on things.
And I get what you mean. Like, who didn't know about Pokemon growing up?

It's really cool on one side. Like, the idea that you could make something and everyone would know it.
But on the other side, the strength of it's kinda scary.
Like, if people will buy into all those things, what's saying that the strength of pop culture won't make them buy into more dangerous things?

It's an interesting subject, for sure.

I never heard of the Twillight books until the DIS and I dont think any of my friends read them...but I know what you mean.

What's Twilight? Is it one of those girl things, like Sabrina The Teenage Witch was?
