Swedish Massage--what to wear?

Doing the Swedish massage on Fantasy in Oct and was wondering--what do the guys "wear"--shorts, bathing suit etc?

My first ever real massage so I have no personal experience anywhere else...

My husband has had massages a hundred times (not on DCL, but I don't know why it'd be different), and he always wears whatever to the spa but then gets completely naked before lying down on the table under the towel. That's pretty standard, although i suppose you could wear underwear if you really wanted.

I would recommend at least some underwear, or swimming trunks are fine as well.

Coming from a massage therapist: nothing. Wearing trunks or underwear gets in the way of massaging your low back, glutes (trust me, they need to be worked on) and hamstrings/quads. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being nude in a professional environment. You'll be adequately draped the entire time. I have a feeling Disney doesn't mess around with draping procedures.

Definitely DON'T wear swim trunks if they're wet. This will make for an incredibly uncomfortable massage.

They have you strip down to underwear. But if you are not comfortable with that you can keep shorts on.

I get massages all the time, ashore and afloat, and I always strip completely down for the reasons cited above. Most of the time the massage beds are heated and you'll be under a sheet except for the area being worked on. Every therapist I've had, man or woman, has always been totally professional.

That said, tell your therapist it's your first massage. They will discuss with you what you want worked on and also what is off-limits, and if at any time you begin to feel uncomfortable (or in pain) with what they are doing you can ask them to stop. The only times I've done this is when I had some recent foot surgery and asked them to leave that foot alone, and another time when I'd bumped into a coffee table and my shin was bruised so I asked them to take care on that lower leg area, otherwise I just enjoy the massage and almost always doze off as the tension flows away.

Rule number one for a massage, be comfortable.

Personally I strip down for any massage I get but if you can't relax then you aren't getting the most out of your session.

Whatever you are comfortable with but it's perfectly normal to be naked as you will be covered, usually with a sheet. Some prudy therapists will tell you to strip to your underwear but this is for their comfort not yours and this is wrong imo. As mentioned before, to get a decent back massage even without the gluts, boxers/briefs at the most.
