SWDAS question about meet and greets

Where are the meet and greets held and do we need to arrive early? They are booked every half hour, is that enough time? I know reserving is new but for those who have been to these in the past, were you able to see the character and get a picture and get out within half an hour?

I really need to read more carefully before posting. Sorry, no information on the SWDAS meet-and-greets.

When we cruised on the Fantasy we had tickets for the Frozen meet-and-greet. It was held in one of the MDRs. I think we showed up about 5 minutes early and waited in the corridor outside. Once we were let in we had plenty of time to chat, pose for several pictures, and get autographs from Anna and Elsa. We were not the only family with tickets at that time - probably 15 or so groups if I remember correctly. The ticketed meet-and-greets feel much more relaxed than the others - for our next trip I have The Princesses and Frozen booked about 45 minutes apart. Unless they are at opposite ends of the Magic, I think we will be okay.

Last year we arrived a few minutes early. When it was time, they let us in to the area. There was very little queue. I don't think we took longer than 5 minutes at any of them. I think that half an hour between them will be plenty of time. Especially if you go to the first one slightly early.
Also the meets are listed as taking 15 minutes each. So there should be no issues.

On my cruise (Apr 2016), the M & G’s were in several locations around the ship: D-Lounge and the Tube were mine. I know there were other locations as well

You should be fine. Disney won't let you book overlapping. We are doing the same thing and ours are half hour apart as well. If they have it organised as they did last time (they learnt from the first time they did it and improved), there will definitely be no issues. And if there is any problem, when you get to the next meet, tell them you were held up by the previous one. But as I said, I don't think there will be any problems.

Alright, I feel better. I went ahead and booked them all 30 minutes apart, and selected our highest priority - Chewbacca - first so we can arrive early for that one for sure. Can't wait! Thanks everyone for your input!!

Our meet and greets on SWDS were at various locations, unlike other meet and greets we did not get to view the character until it was our turn. I think they ran a little behind schedule. But you will be fine with the time in between

This is a DCL thread about SWDAS cruises. If that’s what you are referring to, no, you can’t just show up to a Star Wars meet. You need a timed ticket. Normal characters do not need tickets.
