Swatting at Bees and hornets

Apparently, you have never meet kids,
They would pick on you so badly, you wished the hornets stung you

Interesting that kids should be taught not to swat at bees & hornets, but are not taught to not be rude.

Yes, if you need to take out a nest, this is good advice. Honestly, I leave them alone for the most part unless they want to build a nest too close to my door (they get on my front porch a lot). Otherwise, if they are outisde, I don't worry about them. Any kind of bee is fine too, and even yellowjackets don't bother me. I did have those nasty red hornets build a society in the soffit behind my back door's light fixture once - that got ugly! The nest was huge and those guys are mean and aggressive. They had to go.
We have issues with wasp nests here. I will need to go check under our deck to remove any before I have some work done on the house later this month. Some of the materials are stored on the patio under the deck and wouldn’t want the workers to get stung. I have two cans of the far reaching spray to use.

If I can do it at night, I do!

One can in each hand and I SOAK the nest until it falls.

Then I keep going until the cans are empty.....

Also, don't walk your dog at the edge of a lake or pond in Florida. There, more outdoor education. You're welcome!

See that's kinda what I mean

I have lived in the NE us my entire life..... I know not to wade into the pond at night.... actually ever....
But people come here from all over not knowing any better or just not thinking about it.

One of the first things I was taught as a kid, when at Disney you don't go near the water at night......

That was 40-plus years ago,

I figure that was common sense too

One time I was in the hot tub at Jambo house and a huge nasty looking wasp flew in, landed on my shoulder and walked toward my neck. A spirited debate ensued, one of the folks in the hot tub thought I should dip myself under the water real quick and then someone else said NO, stay very still, and so on, but I was panicking and I just froze. Felt like forever but eventually the wasp decided to fly away so I guess being very still was a good choice
