Swapping out one-way rental?

I'm costing out doing a one-way rental (paying 2 nights parking) versus single-day rental+using charleys taxi/lyft/excursions etc.

It's basically the same cost to book one way (pay for 2 nights parking) and then use Charley's for our return to the airport. The only problem... they only have pickup trucks available.

Any luck swapping out for a different car at Aulani?

It's not a dealbreaker because we have a truck at home (and we're not planning to go to Waikiki this time around so I'm not worried about parking space size). We're doing Pearl Harbor one day and North Shore trip the next day, if it matters...

So our plan would be:
Wed: arrive - car rental to Aulani (pay parking)
Thurs: PH in AM (pay parking)
Fri: North Shore (return car in evening)
Sat: resort day
Sun: depart for Maui (charleys to airport)

It's not a cost issue; it's more of a cost AND convenience factor.

did you price out just renting the whole time? Would that be any cheaper?

Parking fees tip it over the top.

Plus, I'd prefer to be shuttled to the airport on our return so we can avoid the time it takes to return the car.
