Swapped to the Boardwalk!

Just managed to swap our first 13 nights from SSR to BWV. I say "just" but I've been phoning every few days after the 7 month window opened.

I am very excited!!

All the standard views and Boardwalk views had gone (unsurpringly ) but I am very pleased to have secured the reservation here

Boardwalk here we come!!! Have you any tips or hints?

Fantastic! Your first13 nights? That's practically a whole holiday where I come from!

You can't beat walking back from Epcot through the 'back door' entrance with hardly anyone else around after Illuminations. Magical

I love the Boardwalk area and would like to stay there again (only managed one night there so far LOL) but DH is less keen I'll have to work on him.

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time Karen - the Boardwalk is our home resort and not surprisingly our fave place to stay too

As for tips...let me see...

- remember to check out the community hall for the children's activities - our two aren't really old enough yet but your girls will probably find at least a few things to take their fancy
- make some use of the quiet pool next to said community hall, as this can be a wonderful place to relax while the CMs entertain the kids
- if you find your room is some way from the lobby it's worth trying out the various stairwells and exits to find a short cut to the bus stop or to MGM
- spend some time on the Boardwalk in the evening and just soak up the atmosphere
- make use of the complimentary valet parking - it can be a long walk to self-parking on a hot summer day

They're the main things that come to mind - will let you know if I think of anything else.
