Swan vs. Moderate Resorts

MY family and I are trying 2 decide between The Swan or a moderate resort. There isn't much of a price difference between the 2 and we've already made reservations 4 the Swan that we can easily get out of what do u think?

Swan! For sure! Bigger beds, bigger rooms, interior hallways, more dining choices, boat transportation to Epcot and Studios, there is no question in my mind what I would do in that situation. We love the Swan!

I think I would stay with the Swan. So much more for the money, and the location (epcot resorts) is the best

Not to threadjack but... what about a junior suite (or 2 adjoining rooms) at the Dolphin or a Deluxe disney? They are priced similarly.

That would depend on how big your family is. How many adults and how many kids?

Only 2 adults and 2 kids (12, 8).
We just need a bit of a break from our kids over the week! So we are thinking the extra room is more important than the Deluxe Disney resort.

OK - I'll be the lone dissenter here. I would pick a mod because we like to do the DDP and it's not available for guests staying at the Swan/Dolphin. My DH and I did stay at the Dolphin on our honeymoon and it was very comfortable but I still prefer the theming of the mods that we've stayed at!

CSR! I can participate in DDP, charge to my room key and not have to pay for parking my rental car. No shared transportation, a great pool and great food choices. Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

I agree with Buzz, I like staying at the Disney resorts for that one reason everything in on one ticket. We are asking ourselves the same? Swan or moderate and we still don't know what to do. We recieved a great rate for the Swan but then you also have to pay and extra $10.00 a day and another $10.00 aday to park. Just makes more sense for us to stay at a moderate.

As much as I loved CSR Buzz, I still think you get way more for your money at Swan. DDP is not such a great deal anymore, so that's not a deal breaker for us. Charging to a room key is nice, but not a huge deal for us, we just carry a credit/debit card too. What's one more card in your wallet?
Whatever you choose you'll be fine, your at WDW!

Ok, so you have to pay $10/day to park at the theme parks. What's the other $10 for?

Well when you stay at a Disney resort you do not pay to park there, and the Swan and Dolphin now charge $10.00 per day for a resort fee, you recieve a bottle a water a newspaper and free internet service.

Yes, they are doubles but if it is just you and your DH, you can get a king room. CSR is a lovely resort that is very romantic.

Yes they do get EMH, but I would still pick a moderate. I'm sorry - We had a smelly room at the Swan - just damp smelling - they wouldn't move us - I won't go back.
