Swan vs Dolphin Executive Suite?

Boardwalk Villas (and other Boardwalk area villas) are sold out for when I'd like to go, and I'm considering the Swan/Dolphin.

Called to get rates for their suites ('executive suite') and they seem very reasonable (better price than the BW Villas).

My question is.. Swan or Dolphin? What's the differences and comparisons between the two (with respect to the suites). I was told the beds are full size at Dolphin while Queen at Swan (but Dolphin is more expensive.. go figure), but that 'full size' is really only 2 inches less than Queen.. so not a big difference?

I would go with the Swan given it has bigger beds, feels like it will feel less busy (smaller resort?), you get resort views, and it's a little cheaper. But am concerned about laundry (laundry is at Dolphin). Also not sure which one is better for food options (especially breakfast).

Anyway, I was hoping for some feedback.

I haven't stayed in the suites, but I've stayed at both the Swan and Dolphin and prefer the Swan. It feels a little less "convention resort" to me (smaller and less busy) and the room and beds were more comfortable. We also stayed in a refurbished room at the Swan (not sure the status on the refurbs at Dolphin) and it was really well done.

The food options are great at both resorts and it's just a short walk to get from one to the other. For breakfast, Garden Grove is a good option at Swan or you can walk over to Fresh or Picabu at the Dolphin.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay at either, but will always prefer the Swan over the Dolphin.

A full bed is 6 inches more narrow and 5 inches shorter than a queen. It's noticeable.

The Walt Disney World Swan has earned a 4-Diamond rating by AAA. The Walt Disney World Dolphin is rated 3-Diamond.

As someone who used to work in hotels, I'll certainly opt for the Swan if prices are similar. AAA hotel ratings are highly detailed and are conducted anonymously by trained professionals. The criteria for each level (zero to five diamonds) is extensive and provided to the hotel prior to any inspection.

Actually, a correction. I called back to double check and told me they were 'double' and not 'full'.

Any of you folks know if the rooms have refrigerators and if we can get microwaves?

Double and Full are the same thing. Mattress sizes in the US are standard. Crib/Toddler, Twin, Twin XL, Full/Double, Queen, King, CA King

Hotels don't have special bed sizes made for them.

Yes, to the fridge. No microwaves are available for room use at the Swolphin.
