swan suites

We are two families planning a trip in April 2004. My family stayed at the Swan last April (teacher's discount!!!) and as a family of four fit into one hotel room comfortably. Our friends have five children and want connecting rooms or a suite (whichever is more economical). In the past they have stayed on property and despite requests have never received connecting rooms at the start of their vacation. As a result, they want to stay off property. We LOVE the Swan and want to stay their again. Do they have connecting rooms ? Cost? How accomodating are they to special requests. Thanks for your help.

We just returned from the Swan and had a Jr. Suite = King bed and a sofa bed. However, there are larger suites - log onto www.swandolphin.com and then click on business and there is a link to floor plans for the suites.

There are connecting doors. When we stayed at the Dolphin last summer our room had a connecting door.

I have found the CM at the S/D very gracious and accomodating if they can. If they can fill your requests, I am sure they will. Remember it all depends on how busy the resort is.

The Swan and Dolphin both have 2 bedroom Exec suites that sleep at least 6...they aren't cheap though...with a AAA rate the price in Dec was $680 plus taxes....so, 2 hotel rooms would definately would be the cheaper rate....Sorry your friends never got connecting rooms before...I'd say just as again and explain the situation to the reservation agent....and hope for the best...

We're a family of 4 and our teenage children always bring a friend when we vacation. I've found the best way to handle the connecting room situation is to request connecting rooms at the time the reservations are made. Upon check in, let the hotel know that the underage children will be in a room, and the parents in another, and you want connecting rooms. We have always been accomodated. Sometimes we even received an upgrade because of it!
