SWAN question

Ok has anyone every booked a room at swan, using westin as a direct reservation. Disney quoted a rate in the 300's, westin quoted me 179 internet only? Has anyone used this before, theres no refund pay in full, no changes allowed. Can i still use a fast pass once checking in onsite, still use disney transportation? Please help? Thanks

We booked Swan at last minute for MEMORIAL DAY - go figure! - through Expedia. Great rate - around $165/night. All Disney amenities - desk to purchase P/H tix, e-ride night tickets, shows, reservations for dining, etc. It's part of the Epcot resort district - so you catch boat to Epcot and MGM, bus to AK, MK. Fabulous beach resort area between Swan and Dolphin. Take advantage of A/P discounts or Disney room discounts; check with Expedia and travelocity.com as well. Jen

I haven't used the internet rate myself, but I read several posts with people who have and they didn't have any problems with it. All guests at the Swan have access to the Disney transportation, Early Entry to the parks, etc. You will have to purchase your tickets to the park separately, but you would have to do that anyway if you booked directly with the hotel. I would advise buying your park tickets before you go because you pay considerably less when you buy them in advance. We bought the park hoppers that never expire at the local disney store, but I believe you can buy a length of stay pass from the Swan ticket desk that lets you go to many more extra things. They also cost more money.

There should be no difference in your Swan experience based on who you book through. We usually book through Swan Dolphin reservations, but then check and confirm with Westin direct. I believe that the reservation systems are linked. As far as the difference between staying at the Swan vs. a Disney property, the only item I can think of is the lack of charging ability in the parks using your room key. Otherwise, you can use fastpass, transportation, buy Ultimate Park Hoppers, book priority reservations etc. ....steve

I used the westin reservation system and got an internet rate of only $159 over Christmas. I went ahead and booked it and they've only charged the first night on my credit card. If you cancel in the timelimit in the small print, you'll just lose that first night. I fully expect to be able to use all Disney priviledges as I would at any other Disney resort.
