Just called and booked a room with the nurse's discount rate of $129 for this weekend. Is this a good deal at this time? I considered calling about AK but don't have an AP so figured the rates would be just too much. After I got off the phone I realized the reservationist had not said which resort. Do you get a choice with that rate? If so which one should I ask for? I know with that rate we get a "standard" view which I assume is a parking lot or something unless you get high enough up. Changed from the Calypso Cay country Inn after learning thsat twin beds in the kids suites were not suitable for teens. The rate is twice as much and no breakfast included but then we'll have all the other advantages of "being on property'.

Swan has queen beds; Dolphin has double beds .. that may help you decide. We've stayed at the Dolphin and the location for both is great! Well worth the "nurse rate" .... the location gives you many dining choices .... both in and out of the hotel ...

As already stated, it depends on how important your bed set-up is, do you need queen size beds, or will double beds do?

Also, the bathroom set-up is configured differently. At the Swan, you have two sinks, one inside with the tub and toilet, and one right outside the door with a mirror. Makes getting ready in the AM much easier. One can blow dry their hair, while the other shaves, or applies make-up, etc.

At the Dolphin, there is only one sink, but across from the bathroom, there is a vanity with a bench seat so two can get ready at the same time, just only one sink.

The Dolphin's rooms are slightly larger, but not by any great degree.

I describe the Swan this way; refined, quiet and elegant. The Dolphin is more festive, seems busier and is the bigger of the two resorts.

They are both in an excellent location and share the same amenities, although the Dolphin has the advantage of having Tubbi's Buffeteria and the Dolphin Fountain inside the resort for a quick snack, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We've stayd at both now, and are returning to the Swan in January because the Dolphin was booked for a convention. If I had my choice, I'd go w/the Dolphin because I love the lobby there, and again, Tubbi's is so convenient!

But the Swan will do just fine! Both are very fine resorts, and with the nurse's discount is a great deal! Have fun!

Thanks so much for the info - Off to the airport in 5 hours- It sounds like I will be happy either place and am really glad I changed my original reservation.

Thanks again!

Please call before you leave and find out which resort you have been booked at. 1 888 625 4990 If i read your message correctly it sounds like you don't know which resort have?! Believe me, you don't want to get there and start traveling between the 2 resorts till you figure out which one you are booked into. Have a great vacation and enjoy one of those great resorts!
