We are booked at the dolphin, but now I might switch to swan. I just can't make up my mind. I want to switch to swan because the beds are alittle bigger and all the rooms are remodeled. I would appreciated any thoughts good and bad. Is the swan that much farther to the pool area than the dolphin???

The Swan is basicly the same distance to the grotto pool as the Dolphin. If a renovated room is important to you maybe you should switch to the Swan. I prefer the dolphin because it seems more grand. I really don't think you can go wrong with either one! They are both great in their own way. Have a wonderful time!

I agree with Muffy. I stayed at the Dolphin last summer and LOVED it. This summer we chose the Swan b/c of the renovations - really want to try that heavenly bed. :)

However, the Dolphin houses the laundry, Tubbi's, Dolphin Soda Fountain. So, access to them is within your resort if you stay at the Dolphin. To access these from the Swan, you must leave the Swan and walk over to the Dolphin via the pathway connecting the two resorts. Not a big deal. It just depends on convenience and if you have children with you which makes it easier for them.

The Dolphin is just much more grand....and vacation-like....I was quite anxious about staying at the Dolphin because some posts said the place was about to be renovated and I am kind of picky so I was really fretting that it wouldn't be nice - but we stayed in Room 8029 - which has a balcony (something I won't ever go without again!) and although I reserved a king bed - it has 2 doubles - but it turned out to be better to have 2 doubles anyway for my husband and I. I like sleeping in a clean bed if you know what I mean.....Anyway - the view off the balcony is just so DISNEY....the big Epcot ball straight ahead - perfect view of Illumination each night - and you don't have to press your face against the window to enjoy it if you have a balcony. I loved looking over to the left to see Yacht and BeachClub and over to the right to see the Flying Fish Restaurants flashing lights and the rest of boardwalk area - oh, I just love it there. YOU DO want to take a trip down the slide at the Grotto Pool. I'm 35 and personally thought myself too "old" to be doing that - but it was a blast. You have to do it. It's just too much fun.

We were at the Dolphin March 2003 - and I'd stay in a unrenovated room at the Dolphin over the Swan. We checked it out at the Swan to see if we made the right decision - stay at the Dolphin. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me, okay?
I have lots of pictures of the view outside my room too.
