A friend of mine has the option of staying at either the Swan or Dolphin for an upcoming conference. So she asked me which one had the better pool! I know nothing at all about these hotels (ask me about the CR and I'm all over it)!! From what I can gather these hotels share the same common grounds?? Is this true? Can anyone recommend which hotel would be better if spouse and child will be hanging at the pool most of the day??
Thanks!!:thumbsup2

The waterfall pool is over at the Dolphin, as is the very short waterslide with it. I believe they share facilities (pools), though, and the distance between resorts is a very short walk.
The beach area and playground equipment is between the two resorts.

The Swan and Dolphin share all 5 pools! Of the 5 pools, each hotel has a quiet/lap pool, there is a "baby" pool closer to Dolphin, the huge "grotto" pool with a waterfall and slide, and a "spring" pool (which in my opinion is another baby, shallow pool) - now that I think of it, these 3 other pools are really closer to the Dolphin. we didn't mind the walk though.

We felt the Swan was a lot quieter and smaller than the Dolphin.

Check out the pools:

The Swan and Dolphin are "sister resorts" which means they share amenities. If I were going to hang by the pool all day with a small child, I'd stay at the Dolphin. There's an exit on the lower level that will spill you right out by the Dolphin's lap pool, and from there you walk straight over to the main Grotto pool area which is a free form pool with waterfall and slide. There's also a kiddie pool for toddlers, and what is called a "spring pool" that is sectioned off and has a shorter depth for little ones you might want to keep an eye on. The spring pool tends to be a little warmer than the free form pool.

Here's a few photos you can show your friend:

This is why we chose the Dolphin several trips ago. Proximity to the pool!

Also, that side door mentioned above - leads to the arcade area and the "food court" area where you can get sandwiches, etc.

It is also where the laundry room is - don't laugh, I would get up and put a load in the dryer once in a while;) .

Just a bit of added info...they have a little stand there where you can get towels and buy sunscreen, sunglasses and I believe a few pool toys. They also have life vests if I am not mistaken.

Hope that helps!:)

there is no charge the life vests, if available. We picked one up at the fitness center after the "stand" outside had closed for the day.
