Just got this from the TravelZoo website:

Special Offer from Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotel:
$139 -- Orlando 4-Diamond Resort (40% OFF) *
Orlando, Florida
Travel dates: May 25-June 3 & August 1-September 30
Offer Expires March 31, 2006
For two of the most popular times of the year to travel to Orlando, the AAA 4-Diamond Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotel has slashed their rate to $139.
This means you can travel between May 25-June 3 (including Memorial Day Weekend) and August 1-September 30 (popular summer dates) for 40% OFF.

You must book by March 31.

You can stay in either the Swan or the Dolphin wing of this hotel. Both wings feature designer rooms with Westin Heavenly Beds. Amenities include the brand-new Mandara Spa, pool with a beach, health club and children's programs.

To Book: Mention "TZOO" after calling the Swan & Dolphin directly at 1-800-227-1500

Does the swan/dolphin offer the same transportation as the rest of the Disney resorts? Do they accept the dining plan?

Thanks for posting....

My Dsis was going to stay at Swan on military rate 5/25 to 5/29 but this rate is even better.... Saved her over $100....

Woo hoo!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Yeah!!! I wish we could use it ourselves but will be arriving in a couple of weeks and won't be going back for at least 6-8 months. Oh well -- maybe next time!

And it told me "invalid promotion code". My dates are 8/6 - 8/12. I got govt. rate at $129 for 4 nights and $149 for 3 nights. If I could save $30 on my room, I could pay down my parking bill... :smooth:

*gazes off into the distance*

Oh man, those dates would be perfect for a quick trip for Star Wars Weekends...

Are 3 trips in 5 months really too much? ;) Now if I can just win the lottery...

LSUmom-try calling the S/D. Sometimes their codes do not work online, but are available when you call!

Yes -- It says right at the bottom of my post that you must call and ask for the promo. code. If at first you don't succeed...try, try again!

Calypsoagogo-thanks for posting! I just got the $139 rate for Sept. I did have to be very flexible with my dates. Booked it for Sept 21st-28th. I wasn't sure about going with the Swan or Dolphin. Took the Swan simply for the queen beds. Do you have a preference? I would be interested in hearing any pros/cons on the two. Thanks again. Sure beats the $300 rate at BC!!

Were there no queen beds available at the Dolphin? Based on individual reviews at Tripadvisor.com -- the Dolphin ranked #51 (out of 281 WDW hotels), while the Swan ranked in at #83. Several of the Swan reviews sited problems with mold (the odor of). I'm sure it will be fine but you might want to do some research and see the the problem is more prevalent on certain floors/wings and try not to get accommodations in that area. I personally have never stayed at either hotel but have always wanted to.

Apparently the Dolphin has doubles and the Swan has queen beds. Thanks for the tripadvisor info. I will do some research.

Thanks for posting this... I just made a reservation for our May/June trip at the Swan for $139 a night, we were going to stay at the Beach Club (actually I think we've changed our minds about 5 times now :p ) with the AP rate of $245 a night, but I'm having a hard time paying $100 a night more. My daughters aren't too happy right now, but $700 is a lot of money! :shamrock:

Hi: We love both resorts. We usually choose the Dolphin because it has more restaurants. The Swan does not have laundry facilities, which may or may not matter to you. The differnce between double and queen sized beds is really subtle. Both resorts have been renovated recently and the price is really great for the location. Good luck!

I just called the Swan to confirm my individual room rates per night. I was going to try to change the nights I thought I had for $149 to $139.

I forgot that I had changed it to the govt. rate for all 7 nights at $129 - so I guess I have my parking fees covered!

I'm glad I called - now I'm writing this down once and for all!!! :surfweb:

There isn't much difference between the double and the queen? Could you tell me more about that? Also, how far would you say it is from the Swan to the lobby of the Dolphin. It does sound like there is a lot more "action" at the Dolphin. I was just worried about those beds.

I once asked someone about the difference between queen and double and they said about two inches- which isn't much. We've stayed at both and had no idea that the beds were different! There is a covered walkway between the Swan and Dolphin and it really isn't far -unless you're hauling laundry! The Dolphin is bigger and busier - which we prefer. Tubbie's buffeteria (quick meals and snacks) is also in the Dolphin. You may also want to join the starwood preferred guest program-it's free and they will usually give you a room upgrade and you can earn points for your next visit.

I booked August 10th to August 17th under $149 a night under the DIS code..
Can I call them and change my discount to TZOO and get the $139 rate?

Ok well nevermind! I called and got the 139 rate instead! OMG THIS IS GREAT. THANKS FOR TELLING ME ABOUT THE DISCOUNT! :thumbsup2

You SAVED our pockets!!

I called this morning and sure enough I got the wonderful $139 rate, and cancelled my reservation at the Port Orleans for our June 2-4 vacation before our cruise.

:thumbsup2 :woohoo:  :yay: :wave2:
