I have asked about the bad reviews lately about BW being worn looking and a few bug issues.
Our trip is coming up-June 10th.
We currently are booked at BW with AP rate for standard room.
I can't get any other deluxe with discount, but I can still get the Swan with a teacher rate.
I really like having a balcony, so for a room with balcony, the room at Swan will be the same price as the BW.

I have never stayed at Swan or Dolphin, but have stayed at BW and many other Disney hotels.

Is the Swan cleaner right now because I think I read the rooms have beeen recently redone?

We are not using Magical Express or dining plan, so that is not an issue.

the swan is a beautiful very clean resort. but keep in mind there is no disney theme. while i like the s/d resorts i personaly would chose a deluxe disney (if the price was the same) because of the disney themeing. if that doesn't matter to you (it didn't to dh) then try something different and stay at the swan. they have heavenly beds and great coffee and good places to eat. have a great trip :thumbsup2

We stayed at BWV in December and had no issues.

Keep in mind if you stay at the Swan you won't have room charging privileges or the ability to have your packages sent to your resort.

For the same price, I would stay at the BW and not give up the Disney atmosphere, but that's just my 2 cents :goodvibes

I'm not being argumentative here, but please explain what you mean by Disney theming? I've never seen it at BWI. Theming yes, Disney theming no.

I'll give my thoughts: Overall feeling of Pixie Dust in the air, Hidden Mickeys, CM's that care. We had to stay at the Swan once and my son was so excited when we were told we were in room 626. DS was thrilled that we would be in Stich's room and no one at the Swan got the reference :confused3 . It was a split trip for us and when we moved to WL, DS told them what room we had been in and the CM's immediately responded with "how cool, was Stich in the room with you?" and other comments like that. :thumbsup2

hidden mickeys and cm's dressed up in themed outifts to match the decor of the resort. at wl and bc we had mickey prints on the bedspread, also disney music in the lobby, mickey soap, gift shops etc. like i said to some that little stuff won't matter, but i'm a girly girl and i LOVE all the extra cute stuff.

The BWI is a beautiful resort. I would take it over the Swan anyday. And I've stayed at both several times. :)
