I have book AS movies but for a little over 400 dollars more I have held the swan. what should I do, I know what i should do but the money is holding me back, give me some reason why the swan is better. I know near Epcot but what about the inside of the hotel, HELP?:D

Swan is MUCH better! DH and I stayed at the Swan for the first half of our trip in March, switched to offsite for the second half w/ DH's highschool band, then stayed our last night at All-Star.

DH and I have both agreed...we will never stay at All-Star again if we can help it. It was "okay", but just not for us. The bed wasn't comfy...especially compared to the heavenly beds at the Swan..those are WONDERFUL!!. The room at All Star was small. The buses...OMG the buses! If we ever have to stay at All Star again, we are driving everywhere...the buses were SOOOO crowded! It was awful! And we could hear a lot of outside noise from inside of our room. We stayed at All-Star our last night so see what it was like. We weren't expecting much because we realized it was a value. But our one night stay did make us realzie that we will try VERY hard to never have to stay there again. Of course, I'd stay there before going offsite.

The Swan, on the other hand, is wonderful! The rooms are large and bright. The lobby area is beautiful. The location can't be beat, IMO! We loved being so close to the Boardwalk area. The buses were never as crowded as at All-Star.

If you don't mind spending the extra money, I would do it in a heartbeat! It's definately worth it, IMO.

The Swan is considered a deluxe resort. I have never stayed there, but if I had to choose between All Stars and the Swan, I'd definitely go with the Swan. All the pictures I've seen look very nice. You can't beat the location, walking or boat riding to MGM and Epcot is awesome (less bus riding). You can walk over to the Boardwalk and check out the excitement over there.:D I'd only go with the All Stars if money were a factor.

Well, I personally think $400 is a lot of money. I am going on one trip to WDW in a month for less than that TOTAL so for me that would be a big thing. With that said though, I would decide that based on how many days I am going if that $400 would seem justified. If it were for 4 or 5 days I might have a hard time doing that as I could think of a ton I could do with $100/day at WDW :teeth: I would also choose this based on when I thought I would go again. If I didn't think I would be there or a year or two then I would pick the Swan hands down.

That aside, my initial response in my head was THE SWAN!!!!!! I loved it there. The rooms were great, the location was fabulous and I slept better there than anywhere else I have slept ever on a vacation. Everything there is perfect it seems and it is one of my two favorite resorts :) The walk back from Epcot at night past the Boardwalk to the Swan is just wonderful.

So no clear cut answer for me, but it would be something I would consider if I were you.

I have stayed at both ......good points for both the hotels.....we are just using the hotels to change clothes...shower, and lay our tired head............I will say the food courts at All Stars were excellent......the rooms at S/D are very quiet ....except for an occasional fire alarm in the middle of the night......so both have good points....400 dollars is a very good point too

I have stayed at both too and the one thing I would consider is how long you are going to stay in the room , if it's just a place to go shower and sleep for 3-4 days , I would say ASMO , but if you plan on doing some R&R in between and spend a bit of time at the resort then there's nothing like the Swan.
Location is a big plus for us too, but money is a bigger plus.
$400 is a lot of money to think about.

The first question that came to my mind my is, "do you have young children with you?". When we travel with our kids, we usually don't have the opportunity to take advantage of a lot of the ammentities available in a deluxe hotel. And, the kids definitely enjoy the All Stars more than they would a deluxe hotel!

My second question, which has already been asked by previous posters, is, "how many days are you staying?". $400 spread over 7-10 days sounds like a pretty good deal! $400 spread over three or four days doesn't sound like such a good deal.

Can you split the stay between ASMo and the Swan? That way you could decide for yourself if it's worth it!:)

OK, I am now not going the ASM or the swan I call up central reservations and I am staying at a woods view at WL for less money then the swan and a little then 300 hundred for there. I am only going for 5 days 4 nights but that is worth the 300 extra bucks. I am taking my son who is 20. We have stayed at WL before and loved it. Ya it isn't an Epcot resort but it is still disney and a nice hotel. call me fickle but all the changes I have made are still less then what I did it the past trips. I CAN:T WAIT TO GET THERE. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
