Hi all...My husband and I will be traveling to Disney again in May. We had stayed at the Pop Century begining of this month and it was not the place for us. Eventhough the price was right, the room and bed were just too small for what we are used to.
How do the rooms, beds and services compare at the Swan? Does the extra $$ really make a big difference? We are looking to stay there or at the Caribbean Beach......
Thanks!!! :earsgirl:

If you do a search, you'll find lots of good things about the Swan and Dolphin Resorts.

Compared to CBR, it's a deluxe resort, with inside corridors and many amenities. They use the same WDW transporatation system, and the Friendship Boats (water taxi) to Epcot and MGM are a step above the buses, IMHO. Some of the views from the S/D are spectacular! The Boardwalk is at your backdoor.

Oh, and how could I forget! The S/D beds are Heavenly Beds! The most comfortable bed you'll ever sleep in!

I'll let the rest of the S/D fans add their two cents!

The beds are great at the Swan. The rooms are a nice size and definitely deluxe. The service is excellent, and the pool is fun. You can't beat the location either. If you can get a discount in the $140-$170 range, the rooms are worth it. If you have to pay much more than that, you might want to rent a Boardwalk or Beach Club studio on the DVC board.

I've stayed at both the Swan and CBR and I prefer the Swan. The Swan has a nice location - close to Epcot and MGM. You can take the boat, or you can walk to either park location if you are feeling energetic. At CBR, you have to catch a bus to get to either of those parks. Also, the Swan has interior corridors, is an upscale boutique hotel, and has the Heavenly Beds. Oh, and they serve Starbucks across the way at Tubbis.

Are you driving? Or maybe if you have a car and are writing it off onto an expense report.
Consider if the nightly resort fee and parking charges affect you or make a difference.

Thanks for all of your insight. We will be driving there as we live a short distance away. Right now we are leaning towards a resort not on the property...but that could change. Thanks again!! :cool1:

Wait!! hold it!!! Do not stay off-site!!!!!! I'd suggest the Boardwalk because: 1.Somthing to do every night right outside
your door.
2.No creepy guys carrying beer.
3.Watching the people from your window
dumping $20.00 on a watergun game
winning a little stuffed animal :rotfl:
4.Disney Service
5.Rentable movies
6. Great pools with this giant clown slide
7. WORLD CLASS DINING
8. Beautiful views

BOARDWALK IS THE WAY TO GO!!!! :cheer2:
