Swan & Dolpin Resort Fee

Has the resort fee been reinstated at the Swan & Dolphin? I noted that there is now a daily $10 fee that includes local calls, internet and health club facilities. But there is no mention of parking. Is this still a separate charge?

yes there is a $10 resort fee and either a self parking fee or a valet fee.

That fee is riling. I was considering booking there, and I know the rates are good when compared to resorts of its calibre, but it just made me so mad I cancelled it at the credit card part, just raise prices 10 dollars and be up front about it.

This is why we don't book the Swan/Dolphin anymore. To say nothing of the daily parking fee. They have "fee'd" me out LOL

Thanks EnnEss and cherylp3. So if I am reading you correctly they are charging for parking in addition to the resort fee. Ouch! I will have to reconsider my accommodations again in light of this added expense.

Are you telling me they charge for parking now ?? is this a daily charge ??


meaing if you stay for 10 days but only rent a car for 6 days , you are charged for the 6 days ??

Yes parking is a daily charge and yes it is in addition to the resort fee.

I agree that it is annoying but not nearly as annoying as the deluxe hotel prices. I can still stay at the dolphin for less than the moderates even including parking and resort fee (teacher rate).

I just wish they would put a mini frig in the room.

Yea, I realize that. It feels like dealing with a cellular phone company though and I prefer to just take the mod at the mod price with a company who is upfront with me. I usually get the mods for significantly cheaper than the swan and dolphin too, but it is much cheaper than the deluxes.

During the value season you are more closer to the deluxe hotel prices once you add the resort and parking fees. I can stay at a moderate in the value season for less than the Dolphin.

I concur. Even with my discount I am still looking at around $200 a night when you add the resort fee, parking and taxes. With the AAA discount, I can get a moderate for about $134 incl taxes. Of course, you get a better location and the heavenly beds at the Dolphin. Tough choice.

You can stay at a moderate cheaper but its still a moderate.
Most of the time, you can stay deluxe at the S&D for a teeny bit more than the WDW mods and a HECK of a lot cheaper than the WDW deluxes.
The S&D would have to tack on a bunch of small items to come close to the WDW deluxe prices.
