Swan/Dolphin

I am starting to plan our 2008 trip. I have a question about the Swan/Dolphin. I have heard great things about these hotels and I want to try the Epcot area. However, my question is, are they considered Disney properties and can you get the dining plan if you stay there - the DDP is a must for us!
