I've been going to Disney for about 15 years straight and will be going again in November. Super excited since we usually go in June so the crowds and weather should be a lot more pleasant!! :)

But have any of you tried the Big 2 at The Swan and Dolphin? These would be Shula's Steakhouse and Mulino New York Trattoria. Not too interested in the seafood place since Fultons is where we usually go for great seafood.

Yes. Have tried both. What info do you want to know?

What do you think about them? good food and service? Does it have the "Disney" touch? are they worth the price?

I've reviewed both on these boards (I hope the search is working again). We tried Il Mulino last trip, and absolutely loved it. A new favorite for us. Going there again in April. Excellent service, great Italian food. My review has many more details, but see if you can find it using the search function (by user name).

Shula's - great steak, usually very good service as well. A bit dark on the atmosphere, and not exactly kid friendly (no kids menu available). More expensive of the two, but great steaks all around. Dinner for 2 will cost a solid C note ++, but great steak.

Either is a solid choice, but if there are conventions in town at the Dolphin, Shula's can be booked up for nights on end. Get ADR's either way you go.
For our money, Il Mulino is the tops right now.

Went to Shula's a long while ago and liked it ok. We're going to Il MUlino in May. Can't say Shula's had a "Disney" touch, as service was not Disney friendly--more "correct" than anything else.
As Robert P suggests, get reservations at either one. A convention at Swan/Dolphin can mob the restaurants at both hotels.

Have not been to Il Mulino. Tried Shulas in Sept. It was okay. I have had steaks that have been as good at much lower prices. Not overly impressed. Believe the seafood at Blue Zoo is superior to Fulton's. It is a beautiful restaurant with some unique offerings.

just ate at shula's last thursday. yummy! it is a darker restaurant, and doesn't really have the "disney touch" but it IS a steak place. if you've ever been to peter luger's, or ruth's chris it's a place just like that. if not, hmmm. it's a traditional steak place. the food is delicious, but expensive. i had an awesome pomegranate mojito! the service is excellent - you get 2 for your table.

if you have a football fan in your party, it is cool to see all the pictures of don shula, and hundred's of other sports figures all over the place. and they bring a football to your table.

my husband ate at il mulino with business partners before i arrived, and he really liked it. he said the food was excellent.

i have to agree with you, i LOVE fulton's. but i've never been to bluezoo. we had ADRs for flying fish but it was raining and we were walking so we canceled. :( next time!
