Just got back from our winning trip to the Swan and Dolphin and we had a really wonderful time. It was just the two of us this time DH and myself. The staff is very friendly and mad us feel very welcome.
Do have a few comments though - the set-up/break-down crew for the tents by the pool area were very noisy and 100% professional. The rugs (at least on Swan 5th floor) were in need of replacement. I'm surprised no one has tripped as they are bubbled in many, many areas - I think it's a real Risk Management issue for the hotel just waiting to happen. The front desk staff upon check-in was polite, but just gave us our card and waived us goodbye. There was no real customer service with this staff member. Granted we checked in very late, but they didn't ask for the car license, direct us to the building fo the room, tell us anything about the hotel, etc. We managed fine on our own, but I expected a bit more interaction.
Breakfast in the Garden Grove was DELICIOUS! We ate during the week and on the weekend. The Dolphin Cabanna Grill (at the bar) was also really good - we split lunch 2-days. The pool waitresses are really great - lots of hospitality and they go out of their way.
GREAT FOR A TOTALLY FREE TRIP!
The maid service was also good. We didn't receive any toiletries (shampoo/conditioner) upon arrival - nothing really, no coffee either. And with a note and small tip - we're given an over abundance of products, coffees, teas. Very nice.
We'd definetely stay again.
