Swan/Dolphin Food and Wine Classic

First, let me say that I am soon to be Florida resident! My first FL annual pass will be framed when it expires next year.

So, the food and wine classic looks really interesting--especially (if I read it correctly) the $169 starting room rate includes both Friday and Saturday tastings as well as one seminar. I recall in the most recent Podcast that Pete mentioned he would be attending a pre-event that he would report on. Does anyone remember when he said it would be? I'd love to hear an early report.

I'm going to the tasting event on October 9th. I called too late to get into the seminars I preferred, so I'm buying my admission "day of". I do like that they have a la carte tasting for those who don't want to commit to the $50 unlimited tasting. (I'm still set on getting the unlimited tasting event wristband, though.)

My friends were lucky enough to get into the Modern Mixology seminar. One of them is more than likely to blog about it.

Thanks for the info, Briar Rose. The Modern Mixology was the seminar we wanted most, so we may need to re-evaluate our plan a bit. There weren't any other seminars that really grabbed our attention either.
