I read somewhere (not sure where-I'm on information overload) that the Swan/Dolphin had a shop where you could buy grocery type items. What type of food and snack items do they sell? Do they sell large packages of diapers?

We are staying at the Dolphin in 5 days, and we have a 1/2 hour grocery stop scheduled with our Town Car service. I don't want to overbuy at the grocery store, but I don't want to be stuck without either.

At the gift shop in the Dolphin at the back, is a small area of food and beverages. Also, you can walk over to the Boardwalk gift shop (I believe it's call Thread and Needles - it's many shops connected in one long store) - a section has a larger selection of food and beverages (probably b/c of the DVC - BWV). But remember - these food items will cost considerably more than the grocery store.

Mouseteacher--You always have the best answers for me! I was hoping there would be something in the Boardwalk shops. I was mainly thinking of it for dairy products, lunchmeat and stuff we will run out of. I have a 3 yo who is a picky eater but loves milk and yogurt, plus a 1 yo who has a slightly limited diet.

By the way, I was a high school teacher for 14 years. I'm sure you're enjoying your summer!

Thanks for your kind words. I won't officially start my vacation until Friday. I only take the first 3 weeks in July - I am an administrator so... school tasks start calling in late July and certainly into August. My trip to the Swan is most welcomed and comes at the end of my vacation time. :)

The Boardwalk store will be your best bet, then. It probably helps people staying in the condos there for restocking purposes particularly if they don't have a car. My DS and I walked over there one afternoon to get snacks and some drinks to bring back to our room.

I chuckle at my trying to recall the name of the store - I believe it has something to do with sewing... Thimbles, maybe ????????????? oh well, you can't miss it - it's right after the DVC office at the BWV.
