down on your butt......hey I lived on the third floor for a while and learned the proper techinque of coming and going......hahahaha
only thing was trying to remember how to stand up on my own.....Hope you are doing good
My grandkids have to pay for transportation to high school and they only pick up at certain places....so some kids on the back roads forget it........
and doggies make good companions for each other......HONEST....hahaha

i had 2 dals at one time...but we'd had gypsy for 2 or 3 years before adding jasper to the mix...i'm just wondering if it would be wise to take on TWO PUPPIES at the same time...

my grandmother went to a kennel and was going to pick up a doggie...for herself.......well she came back with four....and we had to take one.....my mom thought it was okey as my daddy was disabled at the time and it would give him company.......and my sister and I were on summer vacation and we would take all four for a walk......we were nuts when we would walk these guys.....princess, duchess, queenie and some name that didnt' qualify as royalty....ours we named tippie.we did have fun and one was potty trained and they sort of followed that one and all became trained in a short time.......I guess I will get a birdie after we return from our disney trip......I need a pet besides Otis....he always splashes me

Brandie...I think you're crazy :teeth: LOL but then again I don't have the patience, time, or interest that others on this thread have for multiple pets (or multiple children for that matter ;) ) :jester:

TC...keep up the good work ;)

Debbie...trip planning sounds fun.....:)

I need to start my planning for our trip which was supposed to be DH and I and Grandbaby #1 (Avery) but will now include his parents and baby sister as well as DD of course. We're thinking a week sometime between the day after Christmas and mid-january. Haven't had time to check on price and availability of room(s) and flights yet.....I wanted to be there for Xmas but I'm the only one who did. I'm thinking after NYE will be better forreasonable air and room availability but I'm not sure.......

ann...when i worked as a travel agent, i always noticed that the rates were a smidge better right after the new year...depending on when DD goes back to school, you might have awesome luck going like the 2nd week of january...looks like new year's is on a saturday this year...you might be ok even with that following week!

Hello! Thought I'd take a break from cleaning to stop in and check on everybody.
Hope ya'll are having a great day!:sunny:

Hi Shellie!! I love having you back here :teeth: Where's your mom and why doesn't she post anymore?? :( PS...lots of cleaning here for you to do, come on up!!

Just thought I'd put my 4500th post on my favorite thread :teeth:

Brandie...thanks for that info!! I was thinkin' that would be the best way to go! Have to try to figure out when DD would have to get back for school...based on the usual schedules for the school she will most likely choose.........

hope you all had a good day...I'll pop in later...have to go to Target now and pick up my vacation pics :)

Ann- Mom has been working, taking care of the boys, and taking her RN bridge program (lots and lots of homework) so she has been really busy. She did say to tell everybody hello and that she'll stop in and say hello if she ever gets a break.

what a day........first of all the sun is shining in for a change.....supposed to change over and rain rain rain.......maybe clean up someof this dirty snow......you all know how I hate dirty snow ....HEY I hate clean snow.......oh well......56 days and I can go to where the snow never flies.....well at least I hope not........Hope you all have a great day and behave........

Good morning!!!

Sun's out here too pumba, but the ground is an icky mess....mud and melting dirty snow.... yeeecchhh

Shellie, thanks for the info, tell mom we miss her!

Tonight I'll try to post a couple of my vaca pics, got some nice ones!

Might have to do a "little" trip planning myself here ASAP. My niece (my parents oldest grandchild) is graduating form Georgetown in DC on 5/22. My DB and SIL and nephew are driving down for the wkend and to move her home....my father wants to go and they've reserved an extra room for Fri & Sat but none of us want him to fly by himself, and the drive/move part would be too much for him (and too long away for his liking too) at 80+. He says he can manage but he is SO hard of hearing I have visions of him having problems with all the new tight security and taken advantage fo by cab drivers and such. SO either my sister or I are going to go with him, fly down Friday afternoon and home Sunday. She'll do it if she doesn't have a class that weekend but it looks like she might so I'll go....have to look for flights and decide on Boston (nearer DF) or Manchester (cheaper parking, less traffic) based on prices/times etc.

Well I'm off to work....still haven't caught up with the backlog from vacation and the pile is growing instead of diminishing . Can't figure how some people in my office manage to get their work redistributed to others if they are behind or away, while a few others of us just get buried...takes a month to regroup from a week away. :(

Ann... I think I would much rather be at WDW for New Years rather than Christmas....I mean if you had to choose.....long enough to do both would be nice. I'm going to keep that in mind myself ;)

Now Brandie.....2 puppies and you want to have a baby!!! YIKES!!! Do remember you are trying to have a baby
One is enough for me for now!!

Yes the weather has been nice :D

Anybody have any faves on AI last night? None of them made me stand and shout...but I hope that young girl makes it...I forget her name

i know i know...i told you...i'm insane! i kept asking matthew last night...as i was cleaning up a muddy mess, aka Jasmine, "and i want 2 of them?" if we do get another dog, we've decided on an adult. i think. oh who knows...lol

Was she the one in the strapless top that "screamed" the song and Simon said you could drive a car into her big mouth?

None of them really "grabbed" me...I didn't think any had really great performances. My favorite was Jasmine too, what a lovely /distincive voice she has. I still kinda like the 16 yr old redhead but his style is pretty limited.

Debbie...looks like AFTER NYE is probably going to be the best airfare.....and DD would want to be home here w/friends probably for NYE anyway  ....of course, DH and I could probably go earlier ;) and let DD, DS and DDIL and grandbabies come a few days later.....hmmm....:teeth:

I am getting 20 lbs tomorrow and will have to behead those suckers.....I love maine shrimp.......another of my nieces relatives on her hubbys side...ordered 40......I did one year and cleaned shrimp up the ying yang......to much .......those little feelers stabbed me and made me itch........so this year just taking off the head and waiting for them to freeze......when I want some I will use them that way....one lb bags.....

yes ann...that was lisa...never liked her...i like the redhead kid too, but like you said, his style is pretty limited. i guess we'll see!

shrimp...yummy...i love shrimp! as long as it's already shelled and deveined for me! can't do that myself...i'm a wuss...:p

Hehehe well, we already know pumba butchers deer or moose or whatever on her kitchen table, so beheading 20 shrimp should be no big deal :rotfl:
I love shrimp too. Pumba, you need to have a shrimpfest and we'll all come. At least I will!

Brandie, that blonde "new attitude" song one was pretty grating on my nerves too ;)

Good afternoon (or should I say evening) to you Shellie! :teeth:

Debbie must be planning her CA trip.

Did I hear somebody say shrimp??? YUMMMMM!!!!! Shrimp is one of my all time favorite foods. If Pumba is having a shrimp fest I'll be there.
Anyway, I just thought I'd pop in and say a quick goodnight while I eat my dinner. Hope everyone had a great day and that it wasn't as grey and rainy as it was here.
Hope ya'll have a good morning since I never seem to wake up early enough to say good morning while it is still morning!

20 pounds does not sound like enough.......the heads are easy to dismantle......just pull......hahaha......then freeze the rest of the good part and then later I can just take out what I need .....and enjoy it....
Hope you all have a great morning.....
