happy new year everyone!!!

one of the other couples cancelled out last night so we postponed the murder mystery stuff...so no costume yet. but it's been rescheduled for a night in january...i'll be on the hunt for a bit, but i'm sure i'll find something!

we still went over to our friend's house for the evening. we had a big dinner and played games. it was fun! we left there about 11:30pm-ish...made it home shortly after midnight. and crashed. we woke up at about 8:30am today...

and hey...guess what?!

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

look out SSB...i'll be invading your territory later this year!!

I was asleep by 9PM last night...Had a terrible sinus headache and took some sinus meds and that was that!!! hahaha!!!

Here are two pictures from our visit to WDW...One is so you can see that DD is now taller than ME!!! and the other one is of her with the AK african face painting...

There were indeed fireworks ALL AROUND last night.... SSB got confused which ones, were from which parks... that many! Nice night to be out there, also.

I did order a DELL....but the one I have now is also a DELL....its 4 years old. Its still OK....as a matter a fact...its kind of weird....... I can do anything in MY screen name but nobody else can do anything in theirs. It just freezes up on them. And everytime we spend hours on Tech support....it starts to run fine for a week or so and then it gets annoying and slow and crashing continually again.
We'll still use this old one too...maybe so the kids can IM without tying up the new one.

I would soo soo love to see WDW at Christmas. I don't know about this year.....maybe.....maybe not.... but its in my future for certain

Brandie...if you get anywhere near as excited about your upcoming WDW trip as you did your new house ....I'd say we're in for it here !!!!

I think I'm getting sick again. I have a horrible sore throat that woke me at 5:30 this morning.....and I've been up ever since...AND I went to bed at 1:30...so I AM tired. We never did go to the party with the Battle Of the Sexes game....didn't want to drink and drive. BUt we had company and played Pitch till after 12.
Today has been a relaxing...restful holiday. After all the other recent busy stressful holidays.....this one was welcome.

I've been lazy today. Stayed in bed late (for me) watched a bit of the Rose parade...started taking down some of the Xmas decorations...did a load of wash....DH and I went to Target for ligth bulbs and I bought 8 plastic placements with snowmen and snowflakes (75% off - they were 24 cents each!! ) - they match the bowl and napkins and scatter rug that I got the day after Xmas for 50% off. Then we went to the Mall - to the Yankee candle place - and DH bought me one of the electric tart warmer thingies and a few tarts. Cuz I wanted one - and he didn't see them there when he was there before Xmas. What a guy, huh? I'm gonna keep him since he started the year so well.
Then I came home and tried to contact DD ...she spent the night at her girlfriend's after a NYE party...I left her a message on her cell phone telling her she'd better call me, I'm getting worried since I haven't spoken to her since LAST YEAR!!! She called back...had the phone off while they were out for "breakfast" at 1 in the afternoon

yep...you guys are in for it...you'll get to hear my excitement for my trip almost all year!!! aren't you excited?

this year's started off pretty good so far...got to see clay on MTV on NYE and then the AI tour special last night...this is a good year...

i'm at work today...which sucks. hubby's at home. which sucks. hopefully the remainder of the day goes by quickly.

i promise to post pictures of the house just as soon as i can find the cord to our digital camera! it's buried in a box somewhere...i hope to find it soon!

I was here earlier this afternoon and as I was reading Ann's post....the computer screen starting fading out.....I'm looking at it and I'm wondering what the heck ..... I'm going BLIND I tried looking around the room to see if I could see normally everywhere else but I'd look back at the screen and it was all blurry...I could NOT READ it!! I yelled to jerry to get in here and tell me if it was blurry to him too....it WAS....thank goodness but YIKES...that was scary
I even reached for my face to see if I had my glasses on
can't wait for my new computer

I have never seen him on MTV but I guess thats cuz I never watch MTV Do you know ahead of time when he's going to be on there?

When I logged in today my home page was headlining that Clay will be OUT in 2004 and guess WHO will be in????? BARRY MANILOW .....what do you think of that Gail??? I don't believe it of course.....I mean Barry may be in ....but NO WAY will Clay be out!!!

OK OK OK I will try harder to get to the Clay thread but its partially not my fault...I can never get online cuz of my kids. But school reopens Monday so maybe things will get back to normal

Good morning! Happy Saturday!

DH and I actually went to a movie yesterday afternoon. And while we were there, we were trying to remember the last time we went to a movie I think last time I went was to "Sea Biscuit" (last summer was it?) with DD and her friends and her friends' moms. DH went alone to "Company of Soldiers" (or sumpin' like that) but he thinks it may have been a year or more ago. And we couldn't remember what we last saw together
Anyway....we saw Jack Nicholson/Diane Keaton "Something's Gotta Give" and we both really enjoyed it. Some really funny lines...nothing too deep...just entertaining PG 13


DD has a sore throat today , aches and pains blah blah blah...I am so tired of her being sick

Well apparently she is feeling better because while I was out getting a few groceries and Target getting a few plastic storage tubs....
( BTW- How come the Xmas stuff never fits back in the boxes that I took it out of a a few weeks ago- I didn't buy much new stuff, honest! Just those placements and bowl! And the wrapping for next year which SHOULD fit in where the wrapping for this year was!!)
...anyway, I came home to find that she had showered and left for lunch with the BF. And yes Debbie, she WILL be going to school MOnday morning right after we drop her car off at the auto body repair shop !!

Sheesh, DD broke up with the new BF...that lasted what, 5 days ?? she says it is kind of mutual....and
they are staying friends..........
and she says her throat is really sore but she's going out to the HS hockey game now with her girlfriends.....

everyone in my house is sick with a head cold...sore throat....even Jerry who never usually gets sick much ....and just in time for work, school

just been a heck of a month of December.......january has to be better......116 days till disney.....but I need a few days to myself now.....now you know that I am not a normal crab.......but I am so tired.....my mother has been walking all night and I can hear her......her apartment is upstairs .....and she walks and runs the water all night ......I asked her what the devil are you doing and she said....oh the dishes......well the water pipes are above our room.....oh the joy of it all.......she is almost 90 and I know.....patience.....we own the apartment bld and I know where she is at least.....my sister is still in the hospital and is a little better thank goodness.....this was a bad week for her but she is slowly getting enough strength and no infection so maybe she can go home this week.....two weeks is a long time........my mother in law who o'd on her insulin last week is spending a week and a half with her other son and is in another state......this is one down at least........hope you all ahve a great weekend and no stress.......remember that guys.....stress free

I slept in until at LEAST 7:45 each day, which felt great, but 6 am is going to feel way too early tomorrow!! sigh

hello everyone!!

sending healing pixie dust everywhere!!

watching my big fat greek wedding for the thousandth time...

we survived the first "overnight" hosting of my parents in our new house...that was interesting. i asked mom to come down to help me sew a dress for the murder mystery party thing. since mom and dad gave me a sewing machine for christmas, i guess i'd better learn to use it!! we sewed a dress and it looks great! mom and i went to the fabric store and picked out a pattern that i could handle... so we sit down and look...and discover they are having a sale. all simplicity patterns were $1!! how could i pass that up? so i bought 9 patterns of stuff to make once i figure this sewing thing out.

it's back to work tomorrow...i so don't want to go. the last few weeks have been wonderful...working only a few days in 3 weeks...now i won't have another day off for quite awhile.

i'll catch y'all in the morning!!
