Swan/Dolphin Beach

Can you swim at this beach? Or is it just to play in the sand and lay out?

I know they have pools right there also.

I may stay here with my 2.5 y/o niece and she loves the water, so I was just wondering...

Swimming is only allowed in the pool. This is true for all the WDW resorts for health reasons.

You can't swim in the water at any of the resorts except for in the pool of course. The water is not clean and there can be alligators in the water.

That would be one hell of a settlement...

The beach area around the grotto pool is not shady. Actually, it gets pretty hot. You can rent the swan paddle boats there, but I've never seen anyone in them. The grotto pool is so much fun, your little one won't miss getting in the beach water.

there are hammocks that are near water and over sand where you can nap.

There is a Seal or Sea Lion, (I can't keep them straight)
that sprays water in the beach area, so the little ones can cool off.
There is also a shower nearby to knock the sand off before they jump
back in the pool.
