Swan/Dolphin and Fastpasses at 60 days?

We're staying at the Dolphin in May and we're almost at the 60-day mark. In the past, I know I had to make sure everyone's (DH, me, and both children) name was on the reservation so Disney would know that they qualified to get fastpasses 60 days out (we have APs). I called to make sure all our names are on there and was told that only my DH and I are, but that it's not necessary to list the children, that all I'll need is the reservation number. I'm not sure this is the case, and I don't want to wait until the morning I'm trying to make fastpasses to find out the person who told me that is wrong. Does anyone know?

If you are booking for the adults and children as one total group, you do not need to worry about the kids’ names.

Any onsite person opens the 60-day window for everyone who is in the FP booking group. Because your reservation and tickets are linked to your MDX account, you are good to book FPs as soon as your booking window opens. :)

I learned something new today. Thank you for correcting me.

Me too!

Can you confirm that it worked this way? I have a similar situation where not all kids are registered and was glad to find this post before the 60 day window opened.
What does “registered “ mean? Are they in your MDE Account? If so, all is well

Not all the kids are currently registered on my hotel reservation but both parents are. My concern was if they aren't listed when the 60 day mark comes and I am unable to book FP for the kids. I feel good based on the above thread. All kids are connected to my MDE account and I would be booking FP reservations together.

Years ago you had to have the name of every occupant of the room officially registered as a guest of the Swan or Dolphin in order to get that person FP at 60 days. At some point they changed this to where if a minor is connected to your MDE account you can make FP for them regardless of whether their names are on your room reservation.

ETA: I'm not really sure when this changed, but I know that at Thanksgiving 2016 I was unable to get FP for my children and had to call the Dolphin and have their names added to the reservation before I could do so. After that, I always made sure their names were listed. Then, in May of this year my husband made our reservation and did not include the children. I called to have them added and was told that this was no longer necessary, and this proved to be true.

I made sure that my Dolphin reservation had the correct number of guests and then I was able to link the correct people in my mde to the Dolphin reservation in mde. I was the only one originally listed by name on the reservation by the Dolphin.

Also - you can always make reservations for people not on your reservation as long as they have valid park tickets and are linked to your MDE - so if your kids have tickets your set either way. I make them for my niece and nephew all the time and they don't stay with us as they live in Florida.

Do you mean you can get FP for friends/family who are linked to your MDE at 60 days even if they're not staying on property?

Yes - as long as you book them together with at least one person who is staying on property (and they have valid tickets). IIRC its in the Fast pass+ FAQ's - as well.

Just a reminder though that you may need to link your reservation at the Dolphin to your MDE account if you haven't already - it doesn't always happen automatically (I had to link mine manually).

Wow, that is great to know, @tjmw2727! My mom is coming to spend the day in the parks with us during our next trip. She has an AP and is in my MDE account so I guess I'll be able to make her fast passes along with ours at 60 days out. Thanks for the info!
