The $99 rate for teachers, nurses and gov. employees seems fabulous! I called the hotel today to get the bottom line. Adding the $10 resort fee, the $7 parking fee and the 11.5% tax, the cost is actually $127.39 per night. Still a very nice deal for a deluxe in a great location.

You don't have to pay for parking if you don't have a car, do you?

anyone think they will extend the $99 rate til Dec? that would be great since we will be there the 8-13 and i am dying to try a deluxe but just can't justify the cost... if not, we will be giving POP a try.

I haven't seen the $99 rate for Gov't employees. At spg.com the rate is $149. (I was checking for September). Am I missing something?

Go to wdwinfo.com (dis home page) and on the right it's right there.

Resort fee is being dropped sometime this month. I called the Swan/Dolphin recently and inquired because I had read that on the boards and my fall ressie had it on it. I was assured that I would not be charged that when I arrived.

Not just a bargain but a definete deluxe steal!! Too bad we just had a trip in april , oh well we will be at the swan in dec. for dh conference. I hope alot of diser's snap up this great deal. They will definetely become swan and dolphin lovers.

did they say this would be extended for later in the month of Oct? it sure is a great deal

Apparently you cannot get this rate online. You have to call.

It'd be nice if they knock off the resort fee, and I'm assuming that if you don't bring a car the parking fee isn't applicable. You'd need to find airport transportation though.

Do you mean they're no longer charging the resort fee for all reservations - or for the teacher/gov/nurse rates?

Thanks! :)

They are doing away with the resort fee for all ressies. I don't qualify for the teacher or nurse discount -- but wish I did!

Then will the health club and broadband access be a la carte, daily charge by subscription, or what?

the rest of October is very busy with conventions. I don't think there will be an extension.

thanks for the info. we are already booked at another resort but wondering just the same. I would stay there again for that rate but not for what I was charged last Feb. ;)

Oh boy, this rate is making my longing to go even worse!!!! I held strong through the free dinning (I need to loose 10 lbs anyway) but my favorite hotel the Swan for $99. Anyone think my principle will give me a week in Sept. off? :rotfl: I think I'll pull out that school calender, we must have some kind of 3 day weekend early in the year! To all who can use it :Pinkbounc congratulations! What a deal!
