we asked about this and they said you would have to do the check in and out thing and make a trip to the fron desk cause my b-day was in the middle of our time there, they were very discouraging from doing this and kept telling me how I would have to prove it was actually my birthday etc... and it really was... Anyway we wound up not staying at the swan so it didn't matter but they weren't pushing it once we asked about it. MKY

We got this deal last summer. I couldn't believe they let us have this rate for my DS's 4th birthday. We did NOT have to check out/in at the front desk during our stay. We had a different discount rate for the other night. We DID have to bring a copy of his birth certificate. Unfortunately, there are plenty of people who would "make up" a birthday to save that much money. I am not referring to the other poster, though. I just understand where the hotel has to protect itself from the unscrupulous.

On their web site where I saw it advertised it seemed a promotion tied to 100 years of magic. I don't know when the deal expires. I would call reservations (at S/D directly) and see if they are allowed to book it next May/June. They should know I think! Good Luck!

I am so glad that someone has posted this question. About a month or so ago, I asked the very same question (not remembering where I had read it); and I was, as a matter of fact, called crazy. I knew I had read it somewhere - just couldn't remember. My birthday is same as Walt's (12/5) - we'll be there, just not at the S/D...........I do hope you can take advantage of the offer though.........It's a good one...........
