My daughter, son-in-law, hubby and self are planning a trip to WDW in June 2003. We would like to stay on property and noticed that the Contemporary has suites available with separate bedrooms and bathrooms. My thought was that this might be slightly more economical than two separate rooms, but I could be way off base. Has anyone evey stayed here, how much, and are there discounts available? We can stay at the Swan or Dolphin for $129 with my teacher discount. The All-Star resorts are even cheaper, however, so we are wondering if the Swan/Dolphin is worth the extra $50 per night. We stayed at the Contemporary 10 years ago when my daughter was 14, so we have some fond memories of the place. Any input as to the relative merits of budget vs. more expensive properties is much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Let's just say this......get ready to be spoiled. We started staying on property at CBR and loved it and vowed never to stay off again. Since then we have stayed at YC, Poly(2), WL and next the Swan. The deluxes have spoiled us and my family all prefer to stay in deluxes now! I, for one, think the $50/n is worth it over All Stars, just me!

We stayed at the Swan in March with my teacher discount and are going back in Aug. I have been to the All Stars several times also. There is no way to compare the two! If you can afford the difference stay at the Swan!!!! The location is just the most wonderful. The boat is very nice and we even walked back from Epcot at night. Being right next to the boardwalk is great. The service is good and much more personal than at the All Stars. All rooms come off an inside hallway, and each room has 2 sinks. The All Stars are fine for an inexpensive stay or if you won't spend much time in the room, but the busses can be pretty crowded. Whatever you decide have a great trip!

Carol from TX, welcome to the Dis!

Both resorts that you mentioned are excellent. You can't go wrong with either one. The Contemporary will have you right next to the Magic Kingdom, and the Swan will have you right next to Epcot and very close to Disney Studios.

I don't have pricing for the suites at the Swan, but I do have it for the suites at the Contemporary (add tax):
