Just back from a great quick trip(4/12-4/17). Swan review on resort board.

Blue Zoo-Easter Sunday late Dinner-flew in and settled in our room, looking forward to a late dinner at a restaurant that we just loved on our last visit. DW ordered the lobster tail app.(good) and I had a 1/2 doz. raw oysters-1 bad replaced by 4 from the kitchen. Split a beet salad(beets were bitter) and started on entrees-DW had the Fl grouper(very bland) DD- kids tenderloin(she liked it), me-dancing pompano-unlike the grouper, actually a little heavy on the seasoning, but good. A bottle of Argyle pinot and a fruit based flam'be(sic) rounded out a $250 dinner with average service and perhaps the second string in the kitchen(easter night) C-(biggest dissapointment of the trip)

IL Mullino-never tried before but decided to give it a go the last night of out trip, and glad we did. DW had a very nice ceasar salad, DD and I split an antipasto appetizer(very diverse and nice). DW had a spagetti bolognese, which she said was one of the best she ever had, I had perhaps the best veal oso bucco, I have ever had and my daughter a tasty pepperoni pizza. A nice bottle of chianti and good service $200 and the nicesest surprise of our trip, a return visit assured. A-(give it a try)

Garden Grove-good breakfast; Dolphin fountain-for nightly ice cream; Java/wine bar in swan lobby-convienent, but often too long of a line. Wish the splash grill and the swan pool bar had longer hours. Happy to answer any questions.

Oh boy...I was going to try both in Oct...now I dont know what to do ha ha

Did you do the Garden Grove Character breakfast? That's what we're planning on doing. I'm hoping it'll have good selections for adults as well as 4year olds.

we did breakfast, but have done character dinner before. It eas Goofy and Pluto the night we were there. We found it great, as it was less crowded than most character meals and the characters spent more time at the table.

how upsetting to hear that Bluezoo wasn't good...we are staying at the Dolphin during the F&W this Sept and were thinking of eating there, but yours isn't the only negative review I have seen of late.

Does anyone know if the signature restaurants at the Swan and dolphin still offer the free childcare if you dine there? I could have sworn that a while ago I saw that Bluezoo and a couple of others would let you put your kids in the resort's child care area for a couple of hours if you were dining there. But I haven't seen any reference to it lately and i tried searching for that info and couldn't find it.

BlueZoo and Shula's both offered this in the past. Not sure of present status. Would like to know myself.

We used camp dolphin last month and they did ask if we were dining at any of the hotel's restaurants. So I assume they still have that offer.
