Here is another view from our window (I have a lot of these :) )

You always have the most fabulous pics! This view is awesome! You have completely turned my thoughts around of ever wanting to stay there :goodvibes I always thought the Swan/Dolphin were kind of unappealing from the outside and I never saw hardly any balconies which I love to sit out on in the mornings but if I could get your view WITH a balcony with the great rates they tend to offer, then I'm convinced!

I'm glad you are enjoying the photos and hope you get to experience these resorts. I know there are many who think that they are not as good as a WDW run resort, but I beg to differ. With the better rates offered, the awesome location, deluxe amenities, etc. I would recommend them to anyone. We have stayed at all the monorail resorts and dearly love the Poly and the Cont. (well, DH does ;) ) but the rates are getting to be too much for us.

As far as the view from that room, there are not balconies in that area of the Dolphin. If you look at the photo posted just above mine by teruteru, that room was in the black square in the middle of the resort. There are some great balcony rooms though, because we have stayed in them. I would suggest that you join starwood's guest program, spg.com. We usually get upgraded since we have joined and earn points that we hope to use for a few free nights.

This isn't exactly a photo of the S/D, but it was taken on the walkway to the S/D ;)

Here's a photo from our balcony that shows some balconies across the way. There are quite a few balcony rooms in the various wings of the resort. It was a treat to get one and I really enjoyed sitting out there with a cup of coffee early in the morning or a glass of wine at night. I'll definitely pay more to guarantee the balcony room when I book again in the future.

This is the last one I've got :sad1: for now ;) You can see the Boardwalk on the left, Dolphin in the middle, and YC on the right.

I thought I'd try something different and share a video clip I shot from our balcony at the Dolphin. I warn you that the quality isn't so good because I shot this on my elph. You can see the Swan off to the side and the Friendship dock. The Tower of Terror is there in the back. There was a thunderstorm off in the distance that night, and Tower of Terror looks especially menacing when backlit by lightning.

Here's another little video snippet that I shot the morning we were leaving. Nothing exciting happens, but I like the view and the sounds of the water.

Also, if anyone's interested, I started a trip report. I figured this way it would help me relive the trip and keep that vacation feeling alive a little longer.
