Thanks for these photos!! It just gets me wicked psyched for my summer trip!!!!

Thanks, good lighting that day....I so want to go back. Thinking Spring Break 2011 and Christmas 2011...DW and I are also looking at Disney Cruise - got the DVD in the mail yesterday.

Does the Spaceship Earth ball stay illuminated all night? I am so close to deciding on the Dolphin for our next trip, but I am really going to miss seeing the castle changing colors....

I'm pretty sure it was not lit up overnight when we were there 2 weeks ago, but maybe it does & I just didn't notice it??

Have you ever cruised before? Disney Cruise was wonderful!!! DD was 7 at the time - we had a fabulous time - 7 nights - St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Castaway Cay. My word of advice: a verandah is a MUST! :cool1: Beautiful to look out the sliding glass doors - and a great place to enjoy room service in the morning while the rest of your party is getting ready! Can't wait to go again! :cutie:

Sorry :offtopic:
Have not done a Cruise yet but on the list...my WDW plans may of just been pushed back a bit...i think we are having a caboose.

Aww.... that's nice :cutie:

Then, the Dolphin will be best in your plans for a few years! Great location when you have kids of all ages with you!

No it doesn't stay lit up all night long like the Castle.

Silly question: on the S&D website, the Swan lists a "hollywood" bath. Does anyone know what that is or even better have a pic to share?

My DH and I stayed at the Dolphin last month and the only thing that I did not care for was the bathroom setup.

Can anyone tell me about the differences?

Too funny! I just asked the same question on the S&D FAQ thread! I think from what I remember is that it is in between two rooms?

Thank you (and TaraPA) for the confirmation. Probably better for me anyway. With the castle all lit up, every time I tossed a bit I had to get up to look at the castle...not getting much sleep because I was too busy wanting to see the castle!

That is funny! I was thinking of posting on that thread also. Not to duplicate your post, can you let me know if you get an answer there?

Sure! I went back to read what was written and Singing Mom thought it was a bathroom that is between two bedrooms, like in a suite maybe? I haven't gotten any responses, but if I find out, I'll let you know :) Or join us on the FAQ thread...such nice people over there! :goodvibes

I just read Blondie's reply to your other post and if so, that would be good for me as that is part of what I did not like about the Dolphin bathroom. When I went with my DH last month, it was just the two of us, but in June, I will have my two DDs with me and it makes getting ready harder and longer!

Maybe we will get lucky and someone will post a pic? (Not that I ever remember to photograph they bathrooms where I stay - LOL!)

I just want to say that I am enjoying all of the beautiful pics in this thread. It is getting me excited for my trip this August! :thumbsup2

A few random pics from our stay at the Dolphin last Labor Day:

The early morning view from our room, 2017. We booked limited view, but were upgraded to Epcot view. My only complaint was the long, long, long walk from the elevator after a day in the parks.

Working the angles.

Walking back from the grotto pool. We're gonna give the Swan a try this year.

I believe this was taken from the walkway between the two resorts. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Lap pool. Cabana bar is off to the right of the photo.

Lobby at 1pm on Sunday, Sept. 6th.

Descending to the lower lobby, which exits to the walkway connecting the two resorts, as well as the Friendship dock. Bluezoo is to the left, The Fountain is to the right.

I just took these a few minutes ago from the balcony staying on the West Side 9th floor
