swagbucks for a teen?

My dd, who will be 14 in a few days, said a classmate is using swagbucks to earn gift cards. I have not used this site.
Does it work?
Is it appropriate for a teen?

It is fine. I set it up for my 13 year old but she doesn't use it. There is nothing inappropriate about it and it really is just playing videos or doing surveys. No personal info is given.
