SWA Question

Yesterday I booked a flight from ALB to MCO on SWA for Jan 27-31, for the ridiculously low price of $45 each way.

Today I see that on the day of my departure, a different time slot has opened up that was not there yesterday. I'm flying out at 8:30 a.m, with a stop in BWI. Now a Noon, non-stop flight has opened up. While the price difference is only $12, the times are much better. Can I change this if I call, or will they charge me money. Thought you guys would definately know.

Fonz - did you book the tickets on-line? If you did - just go to Southwest.com and then click on the Travel Center tab. About 1/2 way down the first column - you'll see a link called "Change Air Reservation". When you click on it - you'll be asked to give your confirmation code and the name of the Credit Card holder that booked the ticket. This will bring you to your reservation - then you can reselect the flight for the time you want - and you will get a credit for the $12 difference to be used for a future flight!

If you have trouble with this, just call Southwest, they should be able to help you switch it, although if the new fare is Internet only - they may just have to talk you through it!

That took me about 35 seconds to do. I can't believe it was that easy. You, my friend, have made my day.

Changing flghts after booking- minus $12.

Not having to get up at 5 a.m. to go to the airport- priceless.

I was supposed to be leaving on 12th, returning on the 17th, but had to change plans. Small world indeed. I'm from Troy.

We are leaving Albany on the 30th and coming back 2/1. How could I possibly refuse a short trip when airfare is $115 roundtrip??
