SWA question...again

I even tried the search function this time..got many nice threads about swa but couldnt find my question/answer. I am sure its there somewhere

anyways, bought tickets, fantastic deal..hubby has decided he doesnt want to go. I would like to invite my mom. How can i change his ticket to her? any fees? is it possible?

You can't just change the name. But, you can cancel his ticket and use the "travel funds" credited to him for her ticket. Just realize that the price has likely changed and may have increased.

If his ticket is on the same itinerary with yours, then you would first have to call SWA and explain that you want to cancel his ticket. They will split his off and create a new confirmation number, which they will either cancel or you can maybe cancel on line. YOu will be left with Ticketless travel funds under the new confirmation number for his cancelled ticket. YOu can then use these funds to purchase your mothers ticket. There are no fees charged; however, if the itinerary you want to book for your mother is now more expensive than the one you had for your husband, you will have to pay the difference.
