prices were high when I booked for Columbus Day Weekend, but checking every day paid off-the fare for the flight going down dropped quite a bit. Quick phone call with a very nice CSR resulted in a nice sized credit :)

I always look at my flights, every day (well maybe not Sat & Sun) hoping for a price drop. Saved $8 off my daughter's flight yesterday. It's not much but, as we fly on points, anything off goes back into the RR account.

Also, you don't have to call to get the credit, very easy to do on line.

We'll be purchasing our flights on Southwest today for our October trip. The prices sure jumped from last year; depending on the travel days we pick we'll be paying $500-$900 more than we did for our flights last October. :crazy2:

We had to skip our annual Columbus Day weekend trip last year, but had sticker shock when I checked prices for flights :scared1: We're still paying more than what we've paid in the past, but at least I was able to get a credit when the fares dropped. Delta discontinued their non-stops from Bradley, so I wanted to make sure we had good flight times, and right now the best schedule option is Southwest.
