Someone once said on here that if flying SWA, you could call and request more yellow tags for your luggage since SWA allows two checked bags per person. However last week I called and was informed that they do not send more tags; if you are flying with more luggage, you need to take your baggage claim tickets to the DME counter and they will "run over and get your bags for you". Is this what others have been told? Anyone actually do this? I didn't know if I simply needed to call back and get another CM or if this was truly what they are having people to do. Honestly this plan doesn't give me warm fuzzies so I was just wondering what others are experiencing.

This information was WRONG! Ugh, sometimes the phone CMs are clueless!!!!

Call DME directly at (866) 599-0951 and request more yellow tags. :thumbsup2

I'm glad I posted this and I'm sooo happy you replied! Called the number you gave me this morning and my extra tags are on the way. It blows my mind how I got such a far fetched answer the first time!

I totally agree! I never trust the phone CMs, I typically have to tell them stuff about Disney. lol.

I'm glad you're getting more tags!

But what the first CM told you would have worked. If you get there and your bags don't have yellow tags (you just plain forgot, you ended up with more bags than expected, whatever...) if you give them your bagclaim checks they will get your bags and send them on their way even without the yellow tags.

Yes of course it works, but it is an extra step and worry that she doesn't have to deal with by just calling beforehand. :thumbsup2 The CM still gave her bad information.

My friend and her family flew in on SW on 8-12. She called (not sure what number) a couple weeks before her trip to get more tags and was told "no".

She called the reservation line, which are notorious for not knowing/not having the correct information.

If you call Disney's Magical Express directly (the number I posted above) they will send you more tags :goodvibes
