My DB, his wife and kids will be joining us at SSR in mid-November. They live in T.O. He is talking about maybe flying out of Buffalo if the fares are reasonable. I noted that SWA fares are now out to December 12th (I believe?). My question is this: would it be more advantageous for him to wait longer to see if the fares will drop even more from what they are now?

Also, does anyone know if Westjest or any other Canadian carriers have a history of possibly dropping their fares after the summer season ie. October.
Is it worth it for him to wait??

Pls advise. Many thanks. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm the type that waits til the last minute to buy my tickets. I'm don't fly out of Toronto, so I can't help you there.

If you are flying anytime around the American Thanksgiving, prices will not drop for that whole week.

Try Airtran as well.

How last minute would you wait. I'm planning on leaving Jan 5th.

Last year I booked the first week in December and got flights(SWA) Buf to MCO for $25 each way plus tax($75total) for Jan 4th departure. But that's just me. I was able to book the time off of work when I wanted it.

Am thinking of renting an RV :moped: cause there are 8 of us but if I can get a decent airfare I will definately do that. Then we can spend a few more days at disney :cheer2: or elsewhere if we want

I would book now and if the price drops you will receive a travel credit for use within the next year! That way you are guaranteed of your reservation and can still take advantage of any seat sales that come out.

I traveled in May roundtrip out of Buffalo for $115 including taxes. Much cheaper than Toronto or Hamilton. That is what the taxes total out of those cities. I will only fly from Buffalo if possible.
