Our family is planning a summer vacation and right now flights to Orlando are really reasonably priced. My DS wants to invite his girlfriend but her parents aren't sure if they approve. I hate to miss out on the good rates while we wait for a decision. If go ahead and book for all 6 of us, and she isn't able to go, can I cancel and get credit for just her ticket or do I have to rebook for everyone? Should I book her flight separately? I looked at the southwest website, but couldn't find an answer.

Definately book her at separately. That way, you can cancel her ticket without affecting anyone else. I always book everyone in our party separate. If I am booking 4 tickets, and the price only goes down for 3 of them, I can still get the credit for the discount.
You will be able to get credit if her ticket has to be cancelled.

It shouldn't be a problem either way. Last May my Mom was planning on coming with us, so I purchased her ticket along with ours and she ended up not being able to come. I called SWA and they cancelled her ticket and gave us the credit, it was no issue at all!

you can book all together which then will give you ONE confirmation number, meaning ONE check in attempt on line to try and grab A seats.
She can just "not show up" and SW just gives you credit, so no stress...
Great airline.............have a greaT trip!
wHATEVER YOU DO, bOOK, AND THEN BE SURE TO CHECK ding FOR EVEN LOWER FARES!!! :wizard: excuse the caps, just poor typing skills
